  We brought our golden in for treatment after she swallowed a tank top. The tank top unfortunately needed surgical extraction. Everyone we encountered was understanding, friendly, and informative. We appreciated being able to stay with our golden and monitor her firsthand during and post surgery. She was up and going in no time after her surgery. The sutures were beautifully done resulting in minimal scarring of her belly just two weeks post op. She has been carrying around the bone sent home with her — she loves it. Thank you for helping our baby!!

  This practice deserves infinite 5-star reviews! I took my dog Belle in for what I thought was going to be a simple stomach bug with some antibiotics and their staff was able to identify a potentially life threatening acute disease. Their diligence and care literally saved her life. They all made me feel comfortable throughout the diagnostic process and I was able to hold Belle the whole time. They ended up needing to keep her over night for treatment and monitoring, and though it made me anxious, I was absolutely confident that she would be receiving the best possible care. We’ve been to this facility a few times for various things and without fail they always impress me with their compassion and perceptiveness. All of the staff treated Belle as if she was their own, even going out of their way to make sure she was loved on and comfortable. Belle and me both appreciate you all more than you know!!

  Knowing the end for my sweet dog Harley was near, I called VEG at 3am in tears. They were so kind as I drove my boy in, and were awaiting care immediately upon my arrival. The vet and techs were incredibly supportive and empathetic, ensuring he felt no pain in his final moments and allowed me to hold him. They guided me with kindness and respect, allowing me to say goodbye in a peaceful environment. While I was settling the services in the front, I looked in the very back room. They didn’t know I could see the team: the whole staff was quiet and respectful; they covered my sweet boy with a sheet and looked so remorseful. It was the purest form of human compassion I’d ever seen. They treated my Harley with such dignity, like he was a fallen solider. They didn’t know I could see, but their actions made me feel soothed through the grief. I will never forget them and their kindness. While my heart is heavy, I will forever remember the veterinarian’s kindness and compassion on one of my worst days. I never felt rushed or bothersome. Thank you, VEG Tampa, for being there to help my sweet boy cross over. ❤️🐾

  I cannot express enough gratitude to the entire team at VEG from the moment we arrived with our injured dog, they treated her with such care, compassion, and professionalism. The staff and doctors were incredibly kind, taking the time to explain every detail of her condition and the procedures she needed. They kept us informed throughout the entire process, making sure we understood her treatment plan and answering all of our questions with patience and empathy. It was clear that the whole team was deeply invested in her well-being, monitoring her closely and ensuring she was as comfortable as possible. Their dedication and attentiveness brought us a great deal of comfort during such a stressful and emotional time. Thank you to everyone at VEG for the outstanding care you provided. We are forever grateful for the kindness and expertise you showed our beloved dog and our family💛

  These people are visiting angels. Everyone was so wonderful and kind. Everyone was so helpful and explained as much as they could. Every staff member remembered me and my baby; I could tell they loved my baby. They talked on the phone and explained everything to a family member. They constantly called and gave me updates, and I never once had to wait to speak to the doctor when I called (besides once, she was doing an intake).They called so many people and gave accurate price estimates. These are wonderful people to go to if you love your baby so much but can’t afford care. I was recommended this hospital. We had to be there a lot, so it was costly. They took off over half of the prices for us; his care would have been $10,000+. It wasn’t close to that. They also accept other forms of payment. They’ll let you back there to hold your baby and pet them. You can be with them the entire time and visit any time. You can be there for surgery. We unfortunately had a vet that hurt our cat, was very neglectful, and did not recommend the proper urinary care. We had to put our wonderful 4 year old down yesterday with them. My H got to hold him when they administered the dose. They will be quick or slow, depending on what you want, and they tell you every step in the process. The room is enclosed and your baby isn’t on an operating table. They were gentle with my kitty. They let me cry. They tried SO HARD to save my baby and did everything they could. He unfortunately didn’t make it. They made the process so much easier for us. I can’t say much because I don’t have the words, but these people are angels and I can’t thank them enough for what they did for us. We aren’t happy. We’re devastated, but I know that these wonderful people were soft and kind and did everything they could to save him. I’d recommend them to anyone any day. I’m even going to write to them personally. We drove over an hour to Tampa to this hospital. You can trust these people with your baby.
