The best experience I have ever had dealing with a ER vet. We took a chance and drove 3 hours from Dallas and it was well worth it! I highly recommend for anyone! The Dallas vet ER was expensive and not welcoming at all. Our Yorkie needed emergency orthopedic surgery and they got us in and out within 72 hours.
Could not be more pleased with EVERY aspect of our interaction. Was apprehensive when referred here from Austin. Had no idea of the inner workings of this clinic. They were amazing. From intake in the lobby to the learning staff to the teaching staff everyone was amazing. I have never had such a great experience in such a trying time. They did a wonderful job on our pug and took amazing care of her for the entire stay. If you have the option to come here, don't hesitate.
Our 12+ year old mutt lost a toenail on our walk and wouldn't stop bleeding for over an hour. Waited until after 10pm thinking it would stop, but it didn't. Worried, I called our vet and their VM referred Texas A&M. We'd never been a patient, but the students and staff were excellent! Goose usually is funny about touching his paws (and clipping nails) from previous trauma. They weren't worried and said he was a perfect boy! They bandaged him up, spoke with us, and sent us on our way. Not really an "emergency", but they were fantastic! 5 stars!!
My one and a half year old dog Sissy, picked up a fungus that took us three months to mis - diagnose with my local veterinarian. After two and a half weeks at TAMU ASAH we more closely locked in to a proper diagnoses and are on a firm treatment plan until mid - December when we return for follow up. A big shout out to Dr. Jessica Herman, Dr Andre Huther, students Alyssa ( whom Sissy loves), Morgan, Bethany and to Silver at the front desk for her kindness and coffee hookup. Also to those at the check out desk that I shamefully didn't ask for their names. If your animal family member needs expert care then this is the place you need to be. Sissy is by no means out of danger but she is in the best place in the country for treatment. Thank you to all.
We cannot thank the incredible team at TAMU enough for what they did for my lil Scottie dog Sharky! Sharky had a very long 2 week hospitalization under the exceptional, knowledgeable, compassionate, loving care of Dr. Ostronic, Dr. Gould, Dr. Bugbee, the 4th year students, technicians, and the icu/internal medicine/critical care team. They never gave up on him. We are forever grateful and thankful for them and God’s overseeing miracles of healing for my best furry friend!
