My poor baby got a foxtail in her nose and we had to bring her on the weekend to the emergency vet. They were very informed with how to handle her situation. The veterinarian was skilled and took very good care of the removal of the foxtail. Of course it comes with a cost but considering it's for emergency care it was reasonable. Thank you for being there in times of need!
Although my conure, Kalani, didn’t make it. (She was attacked by a husky and left with deep wounds and internal bleeding. I was surprised she stayed strong for another 3 about 4 days.) I know the exotics department did everything they could to save her. They took her in right away. Kept us updated on how she was doing & the staff was benign. I also appreciate them writing a personal card. It meant a lot. I would call to show my appreciation. But I didn’t want to interfere with them helping others. So I wanted to leave a good review for my appreciation.
My dog was "stable" upon entering the office per vitals. I arrived at 4:15 am. I was told I would have to wait until 7am vet arrived. I was the only one in the lobby ( I am fully aware the back had pets being treated) My boy ( a french bulldog) was in extreme pain ( eyes wide, ears pinned back, shaking unable to sit or lay down, and his heart was racing). We didn't get any new vitals or concern even when I asked the front desk how long he would wait for more vitals as he was having more pain etc...we didn't get seen until after 10. My concern is that with his symptoms and breed time was against us. He was worse when we finally saw the vet. I spoke to 2 additional vet techs (outside this facility and they said that he NEVER should have waited that long as it jeopardized his breathing and walking I am thankful that this did not occur). I understand the holiday 1/1/25, and staff shortages but the wait and no communication was stressful tp both of us. I would ask foe better communication and for long waits to vital checks on the pets that have been there for hours to check that they remain fully stable.
My bird, Loki, was acting dizzy and his right leg seemed injured, I thought he might've crashed so I brought him to this place thinking they would help him. I filled out the paperwork, made sure to print legibly that it was his right leg that he hurt because I wanted him to be checked properly. After they took him into the back, I went into a exam room and the avian Dr Todd Cecil came in and told me he checked his left leg and only felt popping, but he advised me to get X-rays and anesthesia, etc. but there wouldn't be anything they could do aside from stabilize his leg because parrotlets are small. I'm unsure if I corrected him about it being the right leg, he was talking so much and I was pretty anxious. I didn't get the X-rays, just medicine and some fluids. The vet tech brought Loki back to me and he also mentioned the left leg seeming fine, and I did tell him it was the right leg. He pretended to check something and then agreed with me. Loki gained energy and started getting better, unfortunately he didn't make it. The vet tech and the dr both saying left leg keeps bugging me and I checked Lokis right leg and just above his feather skirt he had a scratch on him that was really red. The emergency exam fee was around $160, if the vet actually examined how leg it could've easily been bandaged. If the vet actually did an exam of my bird, he would've found the reason he was acting extremely weak. I regret putting faith in this place and wish I would've gone someplace where the vets are actually worth the money they charge. I wish I had checked the reviews, I just jumped in the car with my bird and rushed him to the closest one. My bird has just turned 9.
Perfect experience We brought our dog here because of difficult breathing. Our wait was very very short. The vet and the staff communicated very nicely. We recently had labs from our regular vet so they didn't reorder those. We got our unfortunate diagnosis via an X-ray. It was communicated very compassionately. They made it so easy to take our dog home one last night and come in the next day for euthanasia. Everything was perfect, the facility, the staff, the clinical decision making. The price was very reasonable and they gave us an estimate before everything.
