Not a great first experience, and will not be going back. Was told my husky puppy was antagonizing other dogs when I know after months of dog parks and scheels trips that he just wants to be friends and has lots of energy and excitement. He was trying to play with the other dogs but was instead isolated for running in too fast, or being a puppy looking to play at doggy daycare. They isolated him without calling me and he has separation anxiety and panics when he is alone, which is why I thought a day playing with other dogs would be fun for him rather than his kennel at home. So I was very frustrated and they couldn’t give me a good reason why other than he was too excited to play with the other dogs. If they had said it wasn’t really meant for puppies I would have come to get him but there was no communication. Not a good place for puppies who like to play. Better for low energy/older dogs. I won’t be taking my dog back to any place that punishes him for wanting to play at a doggy daycare.
My usual groomer was booked out for several weeks, so I called Paws and Reflect for an appointment. They got my standard poodle in quickly, were super friendly, and affordable. My girl had to skip a grooming appointment due to being in heat, so her hair had gotten a little out of control. After her appointment with Paws and Reflect, she looks so clean and refreshed!
As most doodle owners know, one day they’re cute and floofy the next day they have mats. Sawyer and Laney always come out of Paws and Reflect looking and smelling fantastic. Sawyer has a bone spur in his neck and I can trust they take extra care to keep him safe and comfortable.
They should not call themselves dog groomers, more like dog shearers! I took my Yorkie in for her appointment, and left specific instructions that I did not want her cut short, that I wanted a third of her hair taken off. The young woman that took her back, told me oh yes, you want to leave her with a Yorkie look, just a little off. Imagine my surprise and anger, when I picked her up, to find her shorn like a sheep. I confronted the woman, different one this time, and was told, "oh, we don't do that" I will never take my dog here again! See before and after photos.
It took us many tries to find just the right pet salon for our pooch-- a handful of them-- before we finally found a winner in Paws and Reflect. We use the downtown location and have never had a bad cut. Our little man always looks great!
