Our little chihuahua was bit by another dog and had a pretty severe injury to the inside of her mouth. I brought her in and immediately when we came through the door, the lady at the front called for someone to come get her. They put us in an exam room and came to give an estimate. Initially, they thought her jaw might be broken and had estimated to X-ray her. They came back about 20 minutes later and said they didn’t feel it was broken because they could move it around, so no X-ray was needed. I appreciated the fact that they were honest and didn’t do something that wasn’t necessary. They came back with another estimate for sedation, laceration repair and medication. Dr. Griffin was very thorough and the tech was very friendly and answered all of our questions. We were in and out in 2 hours and our girl is much better! I appreciate all of the staff that helped care for Sophie.

Late Tuesday night, my girl Nora started showing signs of GDV. Waco Animal Emergency Clinic was the closest emergency vet open, so we loaded up for the 45-minute drive. We were able to get her info set up over the phone on the way, and they checked her in as soon as we walked through the door. They confirmed GDV, and she was quickly prepped for surgery. While it was expensive, it was worth every penny. They saved Nora. She would have died without their help. The staff kept us updated throughout the night on how she was doing and provided good post-op info for transfer to a normal vet that morning. She is sore and has quite a recovery ahead of her, but she's alive thanks to them. This is definitely our new go-to place for after-hours pet emergencies. Reasonable pricing considering the circumstances. Kind employees.

Dr. Jade Haberman is amazing. My kitty could not keep water or food down and I was terrified she would need emergency surgery. Dr. Haberman took extra time to help me understand what was going on as well as explain my options. Even after I left the clinic, she called to check in on me. After several tests were completed and meds were given, my cat did not need surgery but did need a specialist and she called around the area and even the Austin area to see who was available to see my cat as soon as possible. She is very compassionate and truly cares about her patients (humans and felines both) my cat is doing great now. I highly recommend Waco Animal Emergency Vet Clinic. Ask for Dr. Haberman. My kitty says thank you.

When it was my little boy Prince's time to go over the rainbow bridge Waco Animal Emergency couldn't have been any more awesome. They helped him have a comfortable passing. They were very sympathetic to the fact I lost him 2 days before Christmas. I felt the visit, cremation, and ceramic paw print was a very reasonable price. Tge cremation went quick as well. Prince passed 12-23-24 and today 1-4-24 I will be bringing my boy home. Way cheaper than I had expected. They assured me I was doing the right thing. My boy was a little old man and just couldn't go on his own. Although I was extremely upset at the time I left satisfied and at peace that prince wasn't suffering no more. I thank the staff for their kindness and I especially thank the one the said it was the right thing and comfortably help prince pass peacefully. I was so upset I didn't get her name but wish I did. Thank you all so much. I'm very pleased with this clinic. When it's time for his LuLu I will be back if needed. She's 14 so I pray it won't be soon.

I recently had a terrible experience at this clinic. I arrived with my pet in need of urgent care, only to encounter one of the most unprofessional receptionists I’ve ever dealt with. From the moment I walked in, they were dismissive, rude, and completely unhelpful when I asked questions about the wait time or the process. What made things worse was the four-hour wait while they seemed to prioritize other dogs, some of which arrived long after we did. I understand that emergencies are triaged, but the lack of communication or updates was unacceptable. When I asked for clarification, the receptionist was downright condescending. In a situation where pet owners are already stressed and worried, you’d expect some compassion and professionalism. Unfortunately, this clinic had neither. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend it to anyone seeking timely, respectful care for their pet.
