If I could give 0 stars I would. We took in our boy Bear in hopes for help. They took him to the back and came out and told us he was in critical condition and needed further testing. Probably surgery. He was supposedly an emergency case because he was so critical. But with no money up front you will get no help. They had us making decisions to put our boy down, nurse came in and said if we wanted to cremate and if we wanted his ashes back we could get them for an added fee to the already outrageous fee they put in front of us. I told them to bring me out boy and that we were going to take him to a vet who was willing to work with us to save him. They brought him out and we actually took him home. They charged us for their services of doing nothing but an ultrasound and we paid it and left. My 11 year old son left with hope that our boy would be fine, he told me…. Mom, God has a plan. And my son was right, we got home and he was already walking again. Made it thru the night when we were told he wasn’t gonna make it…. Next day he was weak but eyes alert and tail wagging. 🙌🏼 as I look at him now my gut gets twisted knowing that they were pressing us to put him down because he was in such critical condition. We would have had an urn full of ashes if we would have caved. 🥺😫😠 I’m not leaving this review to turn my nose up at this establishment but to raise awareness to them to have a bit more compassion and wiggle room to work with families who are in dire need and another reason I am sharing is to give our God all the glory!!!! Our boy is happy as can be and back to his normal self. Glory to God! 🙌🏼🙏🏼❤️

Dr. Novasad and Team were phenomenal in the care of my sweet Charlie. I couldn’t be more grateful. I didn’t expect us to make it as long as we did with such a great quality of life. Dr. Novasad was patient, and always took the time to explain and answer my questions. We were a team for more than two years and I appreciated the love and support all the way to the end. My dog developed some type of aggressive anal gland cancer. His tumor was the size of a golf ball. The staff here took really good care of him! From the surgery department to the oncology department... This started about a year ago and my dog is in very good shape now. I’m so glad they were able to save my dog.

We were blown away by the knowledge, experience, warmth, speed and overall excellence of the team at Sugar Land Vet Specialists, especially neurologist Dr. DuPont and her amazing assistant/vet tech Jamie. We were so worried about our pet’s sudden blindness and they figured out what was going on in record time and put us on a treatment protocol that is giving him the best chance of regaining his sight. We are forever 5-star fans - on our way home and giving thanks!

Great emergency vet option! They were very thorough on the phone, trying to decide if we should come in or not. We ended up going in and were glad we did. They treated our pet with care and the staff was very warm and professional. We drove over an hour away since this was the closest ER vet and they did great.
