About a week ago, our Yorkie Dexter began throwing up excessively. It was already 9:40 pm, and I heard a lot of bad things about Allure. But we were desperate. I was so wrong about Allure. The staff is very accommodating. They found what was troubling Dexter and began the course to bring our Yorkie home. Yes, it was pricey but no different than going to an emergency room for yourself. They gave us prices and asked us if we were okay with the rate. They gave us all options, and any options we weren't comfortable with, they were happy to remove from the bill. They did explain by not following through the good and the bad what could happen. Even when I had ideas about using their services and wanting to move him to my vet the next day. They made it as easy as possible. Professional, caring, and understanding is what makes this place amazing. Don't let cost get in the way of your 4 legged love! He is a very big part of our family! I also should mention by Dexter getting on fluids and meds sooner my vet bill wasn't as extreme!

I brought my husky Denali in for pain and limping in her left leg and the office staff was very nice and attentive! Our ER DVM was very nice and informative as well and gave us multiple options for treatment. Although we did pursue treatment with our primary vet we are very grateful for the emergency care and education we were given. If we’re ever in an emergency with our pets again we will definitely make the drive to return here!

We had to take our dog, Dexter in at 8:30pm due to him vomiting. The staff were friendly and answered all our questions. Jason was amazing, he explained our options, how we could help Dexter, and was very attentive to Dexter's needs. We didn't leave until after midnight and we left Dexter in their care. I was very worried but knew in my heart that Dexter was in good hands. The Allure team worked with my vet the next day to get him moved over for care. Overall, we had a great experience. Should either one of my dogs require after hours care in the future, this is where I would take them.

Dr. Hossalla and her team saved our dog’s life, Scarlett. We rushed her in Saturday afternoon after we found her with pale gums and not acting normal. The vets immediately took her back, but be aware that they will ask for about a $1K deposit. This is to run tests and pin point the cause of the emergency. Although we were hesitant at first, we said yes because she is part of the family. After a few hours, we found out Scarlett had a mass on her spleen that we didn’t know existed, even after having her yearly exam a few weeks prior. She had internal bleeding and was given an option to put her down or surgery due to the unknown of the mass being a hemangiosarcoma, an aggressive cancer. We were told we won’t know the severity until it’s tested. We made the decision to do surgery to remove the mass and spleen and give her a fighting chance, as Dr. Hossalla also wanted to fight for Scarlett. The overnight staff were so wonderful and gave us updates anytime we called. We needed to do a blood and plasma transfusion in order to move on with surgery. After surgery, she was cared for with such loving hands. I was nervous to take Scarlett to Allure due to the reviews but I’m so lucky that we did. Dr. Hossalla and her team fought for Scarlett and loved on her while we couldn’t. Her results came back and the mass was benign, so she’s living such a wonderful life! I can’t thank Allure enough for saving Scarlett’s life and supporting us through this process. Although we do have a care credit card now, it doesn’t compare to having our fur baby with us at home. For context, first photo is her at the vet, very bloated with the mass. Next two photos are her after surgery, at home, very happy and feeling better 😊

Overall I think the services at Allure are good. HOWEVER, last week in the wee hours of morning I traveled there from Seguin because I needed to put my dog down. She was in great pain, complications from cancer. I was told at Allure there was no vet on duty at 4 a.m. I was referred to a 24-hr. vet place that did have a vet at that hour. (16 mi. away in San Antonio). I chose not to put down and leave my beloved dog at some new, unknown place. I brought her home and waited a few hours so my regular vet could put her down. Allure DOES NOT HAVE A 24 hr. VET AVAILABLE. Also, as a side note there is an ADDITIONAL FEE of 3% (4%?) for any payment using a debit or credit card.
