I attended Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. I’m a Houston native and I work in technology. My dog over the holiday weekend injured herself and needed laceration repairs. I did not budget for this; Dr. Woods, she helped out as much as she could at no cost. Pain medicine injection, cut & clean, bandages, etc. This was a selfless, caring, and loving decision. Thank you! I will be donating 1/10/25 to the fund so others can continue to receive help when in need of emergency assistance.
My little boy has reached the end of the road and what I really love about Sunset Hospital is that it is 24/7 care and I was happy he was able to be seen by Dr Kim on a walk in late notice Saturday. I called around multiple clinics and some where not accepting new dogs and some were but Dr Kim and the staff were very comforting for me and what I need to do as an owner. In terms of pricing, it is more expensive based on the need but it’s smart to weight out home options vs hospital options.
You guys are amazing! I am so impressed with the level of care and professionalizm. Dr. Enrique and Tech. Cristal were great. They have best bedside manners I ever received. Their attention to details and time spent trying to diagnose cat Lilly was impressive. Last night Lilly's state was critical, this morning she is entirely different cat! I can hear her meauing for the first time. She walks almost normally and started to play. It turned from night to day for us! We continue taking the medicine prescribed and hope these symptoms will never be back. I am immensely grateful for the great care and attention we received at Sunset Animal Hospital last night! THANK YOU!
The vet tech I usually see, (I believe her name is Alex?), is PHENOMENAL! She’s not gushy nice; she’s normal & polite but she will be amazing where it actually counts! I’ve had to come in quite a few times with new kittens that had several problems including hookworms as a result of fleas that WOULDN’T go away even with expensive Revolution meds; which kept the hookworms & symptoms like diarrhea returning. She knows EVERYTHING to educate me on what to do when I have 6 adult kitties & 2 new kittens (isolation, how long the meds should be given before they become an issue in itself, where to get dirt cheap vaccines, etc). She would also work with me on the finances bc she saw me repeating returning and spending hundreds of $. She started getting the vet to wave examination fees 😊😍 (I can only visit after 3am when I get off work & 160$ late night sick fees per kitten adds up), and even slipping me free meds to try. Now when I see her? She asks about my cats individually and it’s a running joke that while it’s always gd to see her, she hopes we don’t meet again as it would be under these circumstances, (since 1 of my babies has to be sick to see her obviously 😂). In short? Alex is super educated, informational, helpful and willing to work with me on finiances & whatever my cats need. I would highly recommend. Side note: exam fees r only 80$ if u make an appointment & don’t come in at 3am. Just making sure that’s clear. And they might wave them if u have to kept returning for the same/related medical issues AND you have ALEX WORKING with you. I can’t speak for the other vet techs. I’ve had a different one try to charge me 3 new patient/nightime fees of 160$ each (so $480) for 3 stray kittens that were dropped off to me at my work the same night I brought them in, (was just getting flea/ tick meds prior to taking them home so they didn’t spread them to my adult kitties. No that price didn’t include meds or anything. It was just for walking in the door at that time of night 😒. The vet during that visit was phenomenal though (Dr Amos was his name). He was super nice and made sure to get some of the unnecessary costs removed once he found out I’m going to just be fostering these 3 kittens that were dumped on me a few hours prior and will be getting their full medical stuff through the shelter. He realized I just wanted to be able to take them home without a disaster 😂. He was able to check the 1 little kitty’s injured leg too and let me know it’s an old injury & is healed up AND kitty wasn’t in any pain so don’t worry about it, phew 😮💨. You can see the kittens below. I named the orange Garfield. Still thinking about names for the other 2 including the 1 with a gympy leg 😊❤️ Again, make sure u have ALEX!
Jessica was very tender and caring of my animal's needs as well as cared for my feelings. I was crying my eyes out and she went above and beyond her call of duty to make me feel as calm and comfortable as possible. She is a true care giver. If you reading this Jessica, Thank you so much for everything you did for me and my little buddy Louie. His wound looks like it's already getting better. I could not have asked for more. Richard Mayberry & King Louie thanks you. Ruff ruff
