I had an incredible experience with this emergency vet. From the time my pup and I entered through the doors we were greeted and helped immediately. I was able to be with my baby throughout the visit and they took such good care of her!! Every single person was kind, friendly and went out of their way to help us feel comfortable under very stressful circumstances. I feel that my baby got all the care she needed and all my questions were answered thoroughly. I am so grateful for this team of people. Thank you so much for taking care of Maisie Grace!
My 4 year old Australian Shepherd fell really ill and needed care fast. We were greeted and treated like no one else mattered. Turns out my Luna could not be saved and had to be put to sleep. The staff were kind, gentle, compassionate, and so understanding. They assisted with fees as to not add to the stress we were already under. They gave me time with our girl, took nose and paw prints, as well as talked me through her treatment and the process all the way til the end. The level of compassion the staff have here is more than that of general employees, they are like family. I know leaving without my Luna was hard, but she was cared for with gentle hands even in her passing.
I’m not even sure where to start with my praises for this practice. I wish I knew the names of everyone on staff this morning (1/4/25), but due to the nature of our visit, I did not think to ask. Our chocolate lab, Maggie, turned 13 earlier this month. She had an episode last night, and we ended up at the Veterinary Emergency Group this morning. Although the practice is 40 minutes from our home, they came highly recommended. Our experience was heartbreaking but wonderful all in one. Unfortunately, we had to lay our sweet Maggie to rest, but the staff was beyond supportive. From the sweet receptionist that checked us in, to the nurses, and the amazing veterinarian, they were all incredibly kind, supportive, understanding and loving to Maggie until she took her last breath. They did not pressure us into spending an enormous amount of money, or make us feel less than when we denied a test wasn’t necessary. They all made a very difficult situation less stressful. I cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend this practice to anyone who wants the best care for their pets. And let me say, I do not hand out five stars often.
I have been to many emergency vets over the years but VEG is so different. It was a calm welcoming atmosphere and I was seen right away. No impersonal waiting area. And I stayed with Oreo the entire time and was encouraged to help. Dr Leicester and Becky were wonderful. And I did not feel pressured to leave him over night for observation and spend even more money.-he was bitten by what was most likely a copperhead. Everyone was wonderful and made this experience almost pleasant. Definitely would recommend ❤️
This is hands down the best emergency care in Greenville SC. ALL of the staff handled our dog Kimber with the utmost attention , support , and love. Every step they took in the care of Kimber was explained fully to us. In the end our family made the decision to let out dog pass so that she didn’t have to suffer anymore , and the entire staff showed us patience and compassion throughout the process. I feel like there are people in this world that truly love their jobs and truly show grace in their actions ….and this group is exactly that! I cannot express our gratitude enough for the care and support you showed our family and Kimber. Thank you for being the best in the Upsate !
