We absolutely love Dr. Selmer, he’s hands down the best acupuncturist and holistic veterinarian in the area! Our little Yorkie, JoJo, was having a tough time walking due to arthritis in one of his back legs. JoJo loves his daily one-hour walks, but his quality of life was really starting to diminish. After asking around, we were pointed in the direction of Dr. Selmer, and we are so grateful we found him. Since starting acupuncture treatments with Dr. Selmer, JoJo is walking like a brand-new pup and is so much happier. Dr. Selmer also created a personalized holistic and nutritional plan for JoJo, which has not only improved his mobility but also helped with his kidney function and overall well-being. Dr Selmer and his staff are extremely caring and professional. My 18 and 15 year old dogs have experienced a dramatic improvement in their health since being treated by Dr Selmer. They both have been receiving acupuncture and chiropractor treatments as well as dietary supplements.

We have just started “our journey” with Dr Selmer but I can’t say enough about him. I have had an itchy pup since day 1 and several other vets just kept writing me off and wanting to throw harmful pharmaceuticals at him instead of trying to take the time to get to the root cause of what’s going on. Not Dr Selmer! I felt heard, my pup and I felt cared for, and for the first time in almost ever I feel hopeful! I had been doing endless research on my own to try and figure out the right things to do. I contact Dr Judy Morgan, a well renowned holistic vet, to see if she could help and she sent me a list of a few vets she recommends. Back to more research! But this is how I came across Dr Selmer - from researching everyone on her list. After my initial consultation with Dr Selmer, he ordered up several tests as well as several supplements to start trying to help my baby and wrote up a looong report of his evaluation. Test result after test result, turns out the supplements he had already had me start my pup on were the same these tests were coming back with - proving they would be helpful. I know this is not going to be a quick fix, but I do feel confident we are on the right track and that we will get there! And there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel and Dr Selmer is lighting the way.

Dr. Selmer is simply awesome and we are delighted with the improvement of our dog’s health as a result of his herbal and vitamin supplements as well as acupuncture, cold laser and chiropractic treatments. Callie LOVES going inside with him and his kind and caring staff. She likes to sleep through her acupuncture. Highly, highly recommend, especially if your dog has health issues.

Dr.Selmer and his staff are nothing short of absolutely amazing. From the moment I called to get an appointment to we walked in the door, the front desk staff (specifically Denise) who worked with us were welcoming, accommodating, and so supportive and that was only the beginning. We had a really bad experience at another vet and they listened to our concerns and respected our wishes. If you prefer a more alternative/holistic care for your pets, Dr. Selmer is exactly where you want to be. He runs extensive testing and only does what’s absolutely necessary for the health of your pet which is his number 1 priority.
