My boyfriend took our dog to this facility today, and I was appalled by the tone and language used by the manager, Valerie Fox, while I was on the phone. I was in complete shock as I listened to her berate my boyfriend for simply exploring the best options for our dog. She spoke to him in an incredibly condescending manner, as though he were a child. He had to ask this lady if he could speak that’s how nasty and unprofessional she was being. Imagine trying to seek care or decide if you should put your pet down and this is the energy someone walks in brings to you. Unbelievable! Not only did she threaten to call animal control, but she also accused him of being completely out of line and even stated that he’s lying about him reaching out to other places for help. I can only imagine how she treats pets when they’re owner is not present. I am utterly stunned by her unprofessional and insensitive behavior. I will be filing a formal complaint and escalating this matter as high as I can. I strongly advise anyone looking for care for their pets to seek out another facility. In addition to that the cost continued to change, but this does not seem to be new based on previous reviews. Please consider other places all, I would not wish this experience on anyone.

I took my 1 1/2 year old female Yorkie MeChelle, into Waldorf Emergency Care in the middle of the night. She was lethargic, wasn’t eating or drinking and bleeding from her butt. Marvin Baynes was the attending Vet that saw her. They had to take stool 3 samples as the machine wasn’t giving an “accurate” reading. So that test checked out, I guess, as my confidence in their care had dwindled down each time they said they had to take another sample. Now we need to do blood and X-ray he said. I went with blood testing. All he did was read what the results said literally line by line! He still couldn’t or should I say didn’t tell me what was wrong! My dog died later that even when I got home from work. I’m pretty sure her blood work said that she was critical and there wasn't much more that could be done for her, but no, the vet would much rather run your tab up before saying your pet doesn't have long to live! It’s sad and disgusting how they play on your heart strings for financial gain when you are in a vulnerable state at the time of your visit. If Marcin Baynes is the Veterinarian on duty, PACK UP YOUR PET and get out of there!! This was my first and LAST time going there!!

The wait times are incredibly long for few patients. I had to correct my bill before I left since it showed a balance for a test that I declined. I think the actual doctor was competent. Every step of the way took an hour plus (getting into a room, getting tests, speaking to doctor, getting final checkout). Would not recommend in an emergency.

My dog was seen quickly. The entire staff was amazing! Dr. Fox explained, in detail, everything that was going on. He gave me honest answers. I had to make a very difficult decision. Dr. Fox and his staff accommodated me with what I wanted. He was gentle and sincere. My baby went to her eternal sleep while I held her in my arms. All the paperwork was taken care of prior, so we were able to leave with no delay. I am very grateful for their attention to my baby in her final hour. Thank you! 🐾🐾

I can’t give enough stars to this place. We are so grateful for everything they did for our John boy. My husband and I got home from work after 8pm and noticed he wasn’t acting himself. He wouldn’t meet us at the door like usual, his eyes looked infected, he was acting very lethargic, and you could tell he was in pain. It was stressful because where we live across the bridge in VA nowhere was open, so I started asking on facebook and someone told us about we care in Waldorf. They observed him and ran tests in which they determined he had to have an emergency surgery, he had a complete intestinal block. True, the price of it all was VERY expensive and I can’t imagine for those who can’t afford the operations and treatments but it was worth every penny to us, our John boy is now home and feeling soooooo much better. When we went to pick him up from we care he was ready to get in the car and go home :) thanks to all who helped take care of John! You saved his life and we are very very grateful!
