I never leave reviews but was so upset that I needed to. My 16 year old dog injured her leg and is in a lot of pain. My regular vet wouldn’t refill her pain medications without seeing her. She gets so stressed at the vet that I didn’t want to put her through that plus I didn’t want to lift her in and out of that car and risk injuring her more. I found this traveling vet that even states on website that travels for the comfort of animals who have anxiety in a regular vet sitting. I talked to him a couple of days ago and scheduled an appointment. I gave my address and talked about the reason I wanted her seen. He called me 40mins before my appointment saying I was too far away and he didn’t want to travel that far just to write a prescription. He knew where I lived when I booked it and he would have made around $200. I have never seen someone so unprofessional in my life. Now I have to get her seen somewhere else and she’s out of medications. I wish I knew this days ago.
Unfortunately, we needed a Vet on New Years day to euthanize our family cat of 17 years. Dr. Granville was at my home within an hour of calling him and he was extremely compassionate and understanding of how emotional this was for our family. He was extremely gentle with Shadow and the comfort that gave us just knowing that our cat's last moments were in his own environment in a calm, compassionate manner are invaluable to us. Considering this was a home emergency visit on a holiday, I felt the pricing was extremely reasonable. I hope we don't require his services again for a long while but I would absolutely recommend him.
Had a vet visit with Dr. Granville for my 2 Siberian huskys today. It was a very good experience. Dr. Granville is a very kind ,compassionate, and knowledgeable, vet. He makes sure you have a very comfortable visit. Answers all questions you may have before he leaves. I would highly recommend him and will be calling him again.
I was absolutely blown away by Dr Granville’s kindness and understanding. I called him late afternoon on Saturday. He came to our home Sunday morning and took great care of our male Orange Tabby Cat. Within a couple minutes he diagnosed him and had all the medication with him. A kind gentleman for sure. Our fur baby is now on the mend. It’s super cold this weekend. The fact that he came during this weather says a lot. We highly recommend Dr Granville, an absolute pleasure!
I’ve never left a google review but I feel I need to in this situation for anyone else who will experience the same thing. I called this vet tonight to ask about emergency at home pet euthanasia and the vet, Dr. G something I didn’t catch the full name, immediately started asking what we planned to do with him after the euthanasia. I thought it was pretty heartless to pitch an after-care service before he even knew what pet I was putting down. After telling him we hadn’t given it much thought yet, then saying we’ll probably go with our usual cremation service, he kept cutting me off with his sales pitch. He hadn’t even asked my location or what our situation was. Again, I was calling for emergency at home pet euthanasia. If I wanted to weigh my price options on cremation I’d be calling somewhere else. My pet hadn’t even died yet and his first concern was if we were going to use his bundle for euthanasia and cremation. After that, I told him our situation and it was as if I was calling in a takeout order. He was just so casual and almost annoyed I couldn’t get the details out without crying. After a horrible night of calling around to emergency vets, he was the first to not at least apologize for our situation. I asked what the price for the service was, and after telling him I’ll need to talk to my family about it, there were a few seconds of silence on his end then he just hung up on me. I wasn’t complaining about the price, there was no arguing or haggling or anything, all I did was say I needed to talk to my family first. There’s no chance the call was dropped, I heard him on the line still, he just ended the call. Just very unprofessional and very heartless given the situation, I’m surprised nobody else has shared a similar experience. Maybe he was just a bad night, but I definitely wasn’t expecting to be hung up on while I was still crying sitting next to my dying pet. Since there’s no other reviews sharing a similar experience, I just really want to emphasize that the whole phone call I was very obviously trying my hardest not to cry and I couldn’t even get though our details without crying. The whole time, he was trying to sell me cremation services. I’m just really in disbelief that an emergency end of life vet would handle a phone call that way.
