My husband and I brought our sick, elderly dog in to be seen after hours at the emergency vet here. The vet who helped up (who was a younger woman with brown hair, I’m sorry I didn’t remember her name!) was SO kind and thoughtful, and she treated us compassionately during a difficult night for us. We decided, with her guidance, that letting him go peacefully was the correct but difficult decision. She was very professional, as was all the staff and she let us have as much time as we needed to say goodbye to our baby of 12+ years. She provided us lots of information and was very upfront about costs and her opinions. While we are obviously devastated with the outcome, we are at peace knowing Ricoh is at peace and with the team here we felt like we had made the right choice. I wanted to add a picture or two of Ricoh in his prime, the way he’d want to be remembered ♥️

I came here once for an emergency for one of my cats and have not brought them to any other vet since. I’ve never waited more than a few minutes to get into a room when we have an appointment, and they are always so mindful and considerate about making sure my cats are comfortable. We have seen at least three different doctors here - each of them & their staff/assistants have been perfect with my cats and addressed my concerns with compassion. It is worth paying for better care!

I can not say enough great things about every single person we interacted with. Thursday afternoon our sweet farm dog (Poncho) was bitten by a juville rattlesnake. Within a few moments Poncho became lethargic and the bite site was swollen badly. We called the hospital and from the very first interaction you could tell they cared. It was over an hour drive but they were waiting on us when we got there. They immediately took him back accessed him and started antivenom, fluids, pain meds and other saving measures. When we met with the vet she walked us through everything and was great at explaining everything. We were able to pick him up the next night and he is already back to his old self. Thank you for treating our fur baby like your own and being empathetic to our family.

Wonderful, clean facility, great employees, fantastic, and very educated vets. I trust them with their knowledge, care, and recommendations. They listened to me, and I felt heard.

What a blessing to have this hospital available 24/7. I was visiting Baton Rouge during the holidays and my dog has a cough that flares periodically and I forgot his meds. They were able to see us rather quickly and filled my dog’s medication. Everyone was very nice and helpful!
