My 21 month year old Yorkie, Jill recently got hit by a car. She only weighed about 4 lbs. She weighed 3.5 ounces when she was born. She was left in the wet road Kimmie or get hit by another car. We found out about ADVANCED ANIMAL CARE in Richmond, ky. Asap. She had a head injury. Her body wasn't touched. Her eyes were rolling back in her head and my husband even said she was dead while I was on the phone. I refused to give in to that notion so I grabbed her and started talking to her and stimulating her and she opened her eyes again. So we headed on a 2 hour trip to Richmond. They took her right in and worked on her. They put her in an oxygen tank bc it helps the swelling in the brain. A lot more was done but they wanted to keep her and kept her 2 nights. They kept us updated the entire time and then the call came to come & get her. She was wonderful! She was almost like before. She still had some recovery but she has healed so fast and almost good as new ! We are so happy. My heart is healed Like her brain. I still can't believe it when I look at her and remember picking her little limp body up off the road. God is good and so is Advanced Animal Care. I will forever be grateful for the knowledge and care they have my baby. I would give them 500 stars if I could. They even gave me a refund. Who does that? They are that honest also. So don't hesitate to go there if your fur baby has an accident. They may not be able to save them but you'll know they did everything they could. That's all we can ask.
Our cat had an acute kidney injury and needed immediate hospitalization for 72 hours. We were recommended Advanced Animal Care by our veterinarian, and I’m so grateful to have found them. They took such good care of our baby Lint and answered all my questions every time I called, no matter the time of day. I knew he was in the best hands when they told me they were hand feeding him to get his appetite up! Would recommend them to anyone.
They saved my dog. Furreal. I had gone to sleep the night before knowing that my dog, Ziggy, had an upset stomach. Nothing seemed abnormal about it either and I thought it was just a regular tummy ache. However, when I awoke the next morning I quickly realized that all hell had broken loose and that I was in danger of losing Ziggy forever. This was also occurring in between repeating winter storms and unfortunately...my primary vet was stuck at home because of the snow and bad roads. That's life, it happens. In my panic I tried other vets where I was turned down by one (wouldn't even offer advice) and was luckily referred to Advanced Animal Care Emergency by another. I had no expectations of actually getting help when I called, but they quickly calmed my panic and told me to bring Ziggy in. Once I got there, they immediately went to work. Ziggy's problem was the kind that could only reveal itself through the process of elimination, and they did so while also battling against a ticking clock to prevent the worst from happening. They demonstrated a great knowledge and understanding of the situation, and were able to promptly get Ziggy on the right treatment. As far as pricing goes, I don't really have much of a reference for how it compares to other vets. We live in a world where everything is a commodity, so it boils down to what is important to you. For me, the price was very reasonable because it kept my dog alive. I was fortunate enough to be in a spot to not have to discuss payment plans, but I've seen that mentioned in other reviews. They were upfront about the cost, and I was comfortable paying that knowing that Ziggy was going to potentially be there for days. The greatest feedback I can give on this topic and something that really impressed me is how my final bill came out to be. I had initially paid for an extended stay, but Ziggy responded great to the treatment and bounced back a little quicker than I expected. They already had my money for the extended stay, so a lesser vet could have held onto Ziggy longer than they needed to and kept the extra cash. That's not what this place is though, and they let me know as soon as Ziggy was ready to come home. My final bill ended up being significantly less than the estimate. That sentiment really goes a long way with me. Dr. Pavain, the other doctors, the assistants, and the front desk folks were all very friendly and respectful. It's hard to leave your dog, especially when you don't know if you'll even get to see him again. However, I left there knowing that he was in the right place and was getting a great treatment from people that were compassionate and sympathetic to the animal and its owner. I tried to not pester them too much by calling for updates, but they encouraged me to do so. Being available 24/7 goes a long way in setting your mind at ease. Ziggy is currently in the middle of his "home treatment" regiment. The at-home instructions are clear and concise, and I know if I have any questions then it's just a simple phone call away. Ziggy still has a little bit of recovery to go, but it's amazing how quickly he's been able to bounce back, especially considering the ordeal that he went through. That's a testament to the treatment and care he received from Advanced Animal Care Emergency. That I felt compelled to write all of these words about them shows how much I value what they have given me. Ziggy is alive, and it's all thanks to them. I can't thank them enough. I hope I never have to do this again, but if I do, I know I won't have to panic in looking for someone to help me. They're a no-brainer.
The staff here are top notch! Dr. Sears worked so hard to save our baby from a large mass that split his spleen in half. She was able to cut the cost in half because it was just an expensive surgery and a Sunday. Her and her staff are absolutely amazing! These people truly care! This was my second experience with Advanced Animal Care. My dog was bitten by a copperhead last year and we received the same level of care. Highly recommend!!! Thank you all so much for saving our babys life!
I have been to your emergency clinic with all 5 of my dachshunds. Two of them crossed the rainbow bridge with you. I trust you with all of their care, and I'm so grateful that you're here when we need you!
