Veterinary Emergency Group

Our experience was wonderful. We were checked in and triaged immediately, and the staff was communicative, caring, and professional. Being allowed to stay in the triage and treatment area was great: we were able to observe the care given to other pets, and also to see and understand why some were triaged ahead of ours. It’s hard to overstate how helpful this is! We waited about three hours from check-in to treatment, which would’ve been frustrating had we not been able to see the severity of the patients who came in after us but were treated before us. Because VEG provides that access, we could clearly see why we were where we were in the treatment order, and have no complaints at all about the timing! It was also really great to be able to take part in the care provided to our pet. My 12 year old daughter has been interested in being a vet for sometime now, and the team incorporating her into the process really made her day!

We took our dog when he dislocated his hip on a day when everything was shut down due to snow and ice. This hospital exceeded every expectation we could have imagined! The level of care and concern for our pet and us, was amazing. We even brought along his brother who was traumatized and they welcomed him, too. After having been a patient of Blue Pearl Animal Hospital in Sandy Springs, this experience was night and day! The staff kept us with our pet the entire time with the exception of x-ray and when they did the procedure. Next time you sadly find yourself in need of ER for your pet, THIS is your place!!!

This is my second visit to the Veterinary Emergency Group. I could not be more impressed. It is like going to the Ritz Carlton of Emergency Vet's. My dog had the end of his ear snipped off when playing, it bled like crazy and he made a royal mess, but no one complained they cleaned up everything. While watching the surgery, which the vet did an amazing job, they cleaned the room and set up a wonderfully cozy bed for him to recover on. As the sedation wore off I had concerns, the vet came right over. We were there for many hours it was a busy night. They provided snacks and drinks to help carry us over. It truly is the Ritz Carton of Emergency Vets. And the pricing is NOT bad at all. Compared to other emergency vets VEG is a 1/3 of the cost. Thank you for taking care of my Blue Boo.

VEG staff took great care of our kitty when she was sick. She is quite the handful with humans she doesn’t know and showed her demon side more than her loving tuxedo side. She was treated with respect and love regardless. Ended up being a minor stomach issue and thankfully not anything worse. I hope we never have to come back here due to the nature of their business, but if something happens with either of our fur babies we will definitely use VEG first.

Took our lab puppy here after he suddenly developed severe gastric distress and non-stop shaking on a Sunday night. The entire staff was so kind and supportive. They gave him an IV to combat his dehydration and ran tests to determine what was going on with our little guy. We were there about three hours and watched how kindly they cared for the other dogs that were in overnight. Highly recommend. They made a very scary situation less stressful. Walter is ok now and we are very thankful.
