Our 4 year old boy Flash was recently diagnosed with AGASACA (Anal Gland Cancer), MedVet Silicon Valley has super friendly staff and took us in right away after our primary vet referral. Dr. Reich in the oncology department saw us in a week and was able to get CT Scan and surgery scheduled with a board certified surgeon Dr. Yeh and his assistant Cassie in another week. We are so grateful for the speedy consultation and planning/surgery. Surgery was completed with the incisions being perfect. Flash healed up quick and 3 weeks post op, he’s almost back to himself before the diagnosis. We know that AGASACA is an aggressive terminal dog cancer, and know we are just on borrowed time. But with the help from the team at MedVet Silicon Valley, we are now able to enjoy more time with Flash to see his smiles and playfulness. We can’t thank you all enough for being so professional in what you all do. Flash probably wouldn’t have made it past a couple months without surgery. We are up for some ultrasound visits to plan for after surgery treatment care and we know Flash will be in good hands every time he’s with the MedVet Silicon Valley Team!
I have nothing but the most wonderful things to say about MedVet. I have read some of the negative reviews, and I think they’re way off or purely emotional. My family’s dog was nearly dead when we brought him in a couple years back, and they loved on and worked tirelessly to do what they could to save his life. I had my cat in two weeks ago for a life threatening issue, and they were nothing but supportive. Of course it’s expensive as a valuable service. Where some have said that they only care about the money, I would say that they are extremely professional about communicating costs before moving forward with treatment. I had a really difficult decision to make with my pet, and they were only encouraging to me, saying “there’s no wrong choice, your pet knows you love him”. Thankfully, my cat is doing wonderfully even though I chose to care for him at home instead of leave him for suggested observation, which would have been more costly. They’re transparent and compassionate. From home, I inundated Dr. Marzan with questions via email, and she was incredibly supportive and responsive. We love MedVet
Heartbreaking experience and Unjustifiable costs. A few years ago, this hospital saved my other pet's life, so I trusted them again when my second dog experienced seizures. Unfortunately, the care we received this time was deeply disappointing and came with enormous costs. When we brought our dog in, he was still able to walk on his own. After 3 days in their care, we had to carry him out-he could not longer walk. Their phone message claims they care for pets like their own, but what they truly care about is payments. Despite our dog spending three days in the hospital, we received no updates from doctor McQuitty. I had to constantly call for information, and even then, she was not available to talk. They performed additional blood test without our consent, I called for the result for 5 days straight. Only when I raised question about it with manager, they sent me result without date and attached other information that is 5 years old. Although they reported on file that they provided it to me before. Basically they made me a liar. They charged us enormous amount of money for unclear treatments and tests. After discharging our dog, they did not even bother to check on him. Tragically, our beloved pet passed away just five days after leaving their care. This hospital not only failed us but burdened us with excessive costs during an already painful time. If you are looking for genuine, compassionate care for your pets, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
We drove there with our very sick chihuahua and were immediately and warmly welcomed by the front desk staff. The medical staff saw her very soon after that, and got right down to testing. The doctor gave us very clear and concise medical information and costs involved. We received phone calls at night and during the day from staff and doctors to let us know how she was doing. Our surgeon called right after the surgery, and two more times letting us know her blood values and how she was progressing. She came home less than 24 hours after surgery and is recovering with a solid prognosis. In all my decades of sharing my life with my animal companions, I have never received this level of care. I highly recommend this hospital for the high quality of clinical operations, professionalism, and genuine compassion the entire facility provided. I will definitely be coming to MedVet for all our animal companions. How grateful we are to have this highly valued resource available to us.
Great people! Caring and professional. They took care of my injured cat. Very thorough. Luckily, no wait time on a Saturday morning. Everything was explained to me. Treatment options. Aftercare. Medications. Perfect!
