I can not speak highly enough of Dr. VanHorn and his team. The day that we had to euthanize our 14 year old dog will always be one of the hardest days of our lives. But it is also one that we will remember with gratitude and smiles, because Dr. VanHorn treated all three of us with such genuine kindness and compassion. He was so incredibly knowledgeable, gentle and empathetic. After careful conversation, he gave us the reassurance that we needed that we were doing the right thing. Our girl died so peacefully, having eaten her first treats in days, (!) and enveloped in love. I am so, so grateful to Dr. VanHorn for giving us such a beautiful memory to cherish in the midst of our sadness. Thanks also to Zayn for his patience and kindness as we made plans for Bean's last day. The service that you guys provide is so valuable and so appreciated. Thank you so much.

We said goodbye to our sweet Lulu today with the assistance of Dr Brian. Brian and his team know exactly how to handle a situation when it is time to say goodbye to a loved pet. He explained it all with incredible sensitivity and the way he treated Lulu through the process was incredibly loving and respectful. I don't know how he does it. Most folks who deal with traumatic situations develop a level of toughness in order to deal with it. When my time comes, I wish I could go the way Lulu went today. I was able to hold her in my arms, and comfort her. The drug cocktail he gave her settled her down, took her into a state of calmness and peacefulness and then he delivered the final drug which took her. My wife and I have incredible gratitude that Lulu had such an amazing time on this earth and that her end was a peaceful and comfortable as possible. Thanks. You guys are angels.

We called Golden Gate Hospice as we had to make the horribly difficult decision of saying goodbye to our Dexter. Dr. VanHorn and all the staff were very compassionate and supportive every step of the way. Dr. VanHorn came out the next day and we felt comfortable with him from the moment he arrived. He truly cared about giving Dexter a peaceful passage and how my husband and I were doing. He explained every step and was very graceful and gentle with Dexter. He gave us words of comfort that we will hold onto forever. We received a beautiful urn and a paw print mold that we will cherish forever. We highly recommend them if you have to make the decision to say goodbye to your loved one. We are forever grateful to them!

Thank you, Dr. VanHorn, for your care, patience and compassion during yesterday's very difficult time. We were touched by your solicitude. You truly understood how difficult it was for us to say goodbye to our beloved dog, Louis. We felt more compassion from you towards Louis, and to us, as well, than the veterinarians who were treating him. Your gentle and respectful ways of helping our Louis to his final journey is very much appreciated, Ed and Divina.

Absolutely the best vet office ever. Dr. Holz is always exceedingly patient and answers all my questions. She is clear and communicative and encouraging. No guilt trips, no upselling, just friendly and helpful in the utmost. Every vet tech or assistant I've ever interacted with is every bit as friendly and competent and helpful. The girls who work the front desk, especially Lupe, are also extremely kind, patient, and accommodating. I always leave here with the feeling that there is hope for the world after all, and that everything is going to be okay. I wish the highest blessings on all these wonderful people.
