They are money hungry and try and get you to pay for more exams than necessary. When I paid approx. $300 for my dog’s blood tests the doctor wanted me to pay for another exam to get the results, when I had just had an exam recently. I said no to the exam and asked for them to email me the labs and they refused. I sent them an email with a quote which let them know that was illegal for them to withhold that since I paid for it. Even then, they said they would only give it to another vet. So I started going to VCACompanion (way better) and when they received the blood tests results for my dog, he had pancreatitis!!! He could have died in the week they took to give the results to my new doc, and by law, they should’ve given them to me immediately!!! Do not take your furry family member there…go anywhere else. And, that wasn’t the only time I was told to make an appt. They are so much worse than VCA Companion

Myself and my Sophia girl loved this vet! We didn't have a great experience with our last vet, so finding one that actually cared about my pet and not my wallet wasn't easy in this small town. But Sophia and I immediately felt comfortable the moment we walked in. The staff was super friendly from the moment I even made the call to make an appointment. Sophia even bonded with one of the techs because she was a Dachshund mom as well. The doctors and staff went over and beyond, jumped through hoops, and bent over backwards to save my Sophia girl who had a scary life threatening infection. They took my feelings into consideration giving me plenty of time that I needed to think about important decisions. Never once felt rushed at all or made me feel bad about any decisions I couldn't make. I even got a hug the day of surgery because my emotions were all over the place. Thank you so much to everyone here who took care and loved on my little princess Sophia girl!!

I have been a client of Dana Park Veterinary Hospital since they were on Hilltop. Each and every time I have had a problem with one of my dogs they have treated me like Family and given my spoiled dogs ( several of whom are somewhat neurotic) exceptional care. They are also respectful of my budget; offering me options. I have dogs ranging in age from 4 months to 12.5 years. There is no way to express my gratitude over the years and as the older Vets are retiring they are being replaced by exceptional younger ones: Evelyn Townsell and Kylie Byrd both have impressed me and I can not wait to meet Dr Hoff. I have bred Vizslas for over 25 years and have been impressed by the care of all the staff. I recently had an issue with my 8 month old male who had a foxtail migrate from his salivary gland to his lymph system in his neck. Evelyn or Dr "T" chased it doggedly and finally after two delicate surgeries got it. I was medical and both an X-ray and Nuclear Medicine Technologist for over 20 years and understand the problems associated with imaging a grass seed that has absorbed fluids until it is impossible to differentiate between the surrounding tissues. Add to that the scar tissue that it leaves behind as it travels through the glands and vessels of the neck. They are an exceptional team.

Little Daisy Dog always gets the best care. Even though we didn't have an appointment we were able to do a drop off appointment for her to be seen. The vet said Daisy was not suffering from anything I was concerned about but reported that upon her exam she found Daisy had pulled a tooth out and it was stuck sideways. She assured me it was of no concern and would fall out on its own. And wouldn't you know it, it did just that. I was only charged a normal office fee. They could have charged me an "emergency fee" and could have charged me to have the tooth medically removed. I WOULD HAVE PAID IT. We have been with Dana Park for almost 20 years and have appreciated the care my pets have received.
