We have been taking our Shih Tzu here for the last 10 years. Our dog Palmer is not easy to groom and somehow he looks great after every cut. I highly recommend Josh!

My experience with Divine Canine has been an utter disappointment, prompting me to take my business elsewhere after more than a year of frustration. Josh often inconvenienced me by cancelling on me at the last second on multiple occasions. When I was asked to contact him to reschedule, he was often unresponsive. I would have to contact him more than once to elicit a response. Despite his irresponsible nature, I was flexible and tried to be patient and understanding. The breaking point for me was in December 2023 when he told me he would contact me the following week to schedule my next appointment. After not hearing from him for more than a week, I contacted him 3 days before Christmas. My text was a gentle reminder to follow-up soon. I certainly was not expecting to hear from him immediately; however, there was no response. Other text messages were sent on Dec. 28 and Jan. 2 before finally receiving a response. His response was very nasty, as he stated, “naturally, I’ve taken time off.” This is not a proper way to communicate with your customers, particularly when you failed to follow-up as promised. Furthermore, many business owners do not take the entire week off for Christmas. Responding to a text message to advise me of his schedule with indication he would follow-up after the New Year would have been the appropriate way to respond if he cared about me as a customer. Another time he also made it clear he does not answer messages when he is out of the office. Although I was very frustrated, I brought my dog in again on a few more occasions because I did not know of any other groomers that I trusted with my dog just yet. When he again asked me to follow-up later to schedule our next appointment, I politely reminded him that I needed to know when to contact him because he made it clear he did not want to be bothered outside of work. This comment seemed to upset him, as he then had the audacity to ignore 3 text messages over a span of several days requesting another appointment. To sum it up, Josh lacks business etiquette/professionalism. At no point has he ever taken accountability or apologized for his lack of professionalism or diligence, which is why I am amazed he still has an active business. Other reviews indicate this is a pattern with other customers. I strongly advise anyone reading this to look elsewhere. Even though he may do a decent job grooming, he does not deserve my business or anyone else’s for that matter.
I am so glad that we found Divine Canine! I checked around Morgantown to find a good and affordable place to take my furbaby shorkie in for regular grooming. Josh (owner) and his staff came highly recommended on social media. They gave my little dude a great haircut, wash, nails -- all for a very competitive price. They were done super-quick too, compared to other 'chain' groomers we had tried. Facilities were clean and appealing. I had no qualms dropping off my hairy companion to pick him up looking all dapper -- see included pictures of his happy summer trim and of the Divine interior.
Wonderful grooming for my shih-tzu, very clean shop and Josh is wonderful with Bucky. Very satisfied, the best for our little fur baby.
