I have used Abigail's Hotel for about 14 years for my dog kenneling needs. They remember both me and my fur babies from visit to visit. My dogs are kenneled more than three times a year. I now live in Huntington but still drive back to St. Albans to use their services. Quite frankly, I wouldn't have as much trust in anyone else. The fact that they maintain the same staff for over a decade speaks volumes.
First time boarding our two dogs. Their 9 day stay was uneventful. Everyone at Abigails was friendly and the price was reasonable. Communication was great. The dogs came back brushed and smelling good. Will definitely be a repeat customer. Thanks again!
I take my dog here Everytime they always have opening and easy to deal with and honestly the best price. Thank you guys so much for what you do for me and how easy you make everything.
This was my first time there. Was greeted very friendly, seemed interested in how I wanted my standard poodles cut. Delivered it to perfection. She also made sure I was pleased. I think we have found our new groomer, that will pamper my fur babies
My dogs stayed at Abigail’s from 6/14-6/27 while my family was on vacation. This was our first experience with Abigail’s, and I am very upset about the condition of one of my dogs when I picked them up. I should also preface this that my dogs were scheduled to be groomed (or at least bathed) during their stay and they were not. That wasn’t the part I was upset back. When we picked up our dogs, my younger dog-almost one year old-was completely covered in urine. It was not fresh, because he wasn’t sopping wet. But his fur was damp, smelled terrible, and felt very dirty. The woman who brought him to me said that he peed all the time in his cage. My dog is potty trained and will only have an accident if he goes long, extended times without being let outside. By the time I had transported my dogs back home, my car stunk terribly of urine. I immediately had to bathe him and upon further inspection, found that his fur was severely matted in numerous places, even though it was not like that when we dropped him off. Ever since we’ve had him home (5 hours) he has had multiple accidents in the house, which again, is very unlike him. I do not know how often my dogs were allowed out to relieve themselves or how often they were given out-of-cage time (which , I just discovered today how small their cages are there), but I do know that this is not a place I feel comfortable leaving my dogs at again.
