Wendy’s Dog’gone Good Groomers

If I could leave a negative star review, I absolutely would. I recently moved to the area and needed to find a new groomer for my dogs after their usual place burnt down. Unfortunately, the decision to try this nearby salon turned out to be a massive mistake. I am beyond disgusted with the appalling job they did on my dogs. One of them will take over a year to undo the damage caused by this negligent grooming session. It seems as though my dogs were just dropped off, thrown in a cage, hastily groomed, and then pushed back out - with little care or consideration for their well-being. I am thankful that my assistant took them to the appointment, as the sight of them would have devastated me. Upon calling the salon in a calm manner to express my concerns and request a refund, I was met with shocking unprofessionalism. The response I received from the staff member was dismissive and lacked any empathy. The excuse of the boss being unavailable and driving over a mountain was simply unacceptable. After stating my intention to send my husband for a refund, the call was abruptly ended. When I called back, hoping it was a misunderstanding, I was met with the same rudeness. This level of customer service is abysmal and unacceptable. In all my years, I have never encountered such a poorly run and unprofessional establishment. The lack of care shown towards my beloved pets is unforgivable. I demand a call from the owner and a full refund to rectify this distressing situation. I am deeply upset and utterly disappointed by this experience. I have attached before and after photos. SMH! 😭😭😭. No wonder they require cash only. UPDATED RESPONSE: I’m unable to respond to what appears to be your “normal response to dissatisfied customers”. Your response is nothing but lies. Clearly whomever wrote this was not on the other end of the phone. I’m the polar opposite of vulgar and nor was I anything but kind. I was however insistent on the fact that you all destroyed my dogs. And whomever shaved my dogs did it without notice to the owner! My assistant counters your reply as she was not told he would be shaved. The pictures speak for themselves. It will take a year for them to look like themselves again. I’m still awaiting a phone call from the owner and a full cash refund. This is a very poor run business and I would caution any perspective client to NOT go there.

I have met Wendy a few times but had never had a dog that needed grooming. Long story short, I inherited 3 elderly dogs that were in desperate need of a groomer. Wendy and her crew were so caring, but also, all dogs came back smelling much better, with cute haircuts, clean ears, trimmed nails, and much softer coats. All 3 of them seemed very happy with their spaw day, tails wagging and no signs of distress. We will be back.

Great place to bring my little guy to. StanLee was looong over due for a grooming and he was getting a bit matted. Holley did a wonderful job. All of the staff seemed to love their job and were quite friendly. StanLee really enjoyed his time there!

This place is awesome. Debbie has been grooming my Sammy for 13 year!!! First she was in Kent, after the pandemic she went to Summer to Wendy’s and I followed her there. I go all the way from Kent to Summer because THEY ARE THAT GOOD!!! My dog was abused as a puppy and Debbie is one of the few people she let her touch her. She is gentle and so patient with her ! I highly recommend this place!!! All the groomers are amazing.

Janet has been grooming my Schnoodle , Greta since we adopted her at 12 weeks, nearly a year ago Her first grooming was a very positive experience for all of us and especially Greta. As new puppy parents, we learned so much from Janet about positive grooming habits and tips. Schnoodles are the best for trainability, great family dogs and no shedding but proper grooming is especially important and Janet got us off to a great start. Janet is also very knowledgeable in puppy development and general canine health and behavior and loves to get these questions We sincerely hope that Janet is Greta‘s forever groomer
