Penelope's Pet Grooming

They did a fantastic job on our doodle, and to make it even better our pup went willingly! When we picked her up she was playing and happy. With previous groomers she would tuck her tail and not want to go, then would appear sad and traumatized when we picked her up, but not here! We're excited to have found a groomer that we and our dog are comfortable and happy with.

I made an appointment for my cat to be groomed a few weeks in advance. This would've been his first time at this groomer, and his second time being groomed at a business. The day of, my husband brought the cat for the appointment and found out the cat groomer was out sick. They offered to try grooming him anyway. So he accepted, they tried, and then came back with the cat saying he had hissed and tried to scratch, so they couldn't do it. The reason my review is only two stars is for two reasons: 1. A call could've been made to us when they learned the cat groomer was not coming in. My husband left work to bring the cat to this appointment. A simple phone call would've saved everyone some time. 2. This cat has never hissed or scratched anyone. He is extremely docile even at the vet's office getting invasive testing done. He never misbehaved at his last grooming appointment. The only reason I want him to get groomed by a professional is that he's very wiggly when I try to groom him myself and it takes forever with the basic equipment I own. It's one thing if the groomer did not feel comfortable grooming a species they aren't familiar with. I totally understand that and would accept rescheduling. But to lie to me about it is no okay. I cannot trust a business that does that.

I've always had a good experience & for the most part have been happy with our grooming services. Our Muffin is never afraid to go inside or stay and that speaks volumes to me since that's been a challenge before at other grooming locations. We have been a client here for 3 years now.

I highly recommend taking your pets here! I have three little ones, and they are always so good with them. They are so professional and very good about letting me know if anything concerns them about my pets. I could go on and on...

I adopted my sweet Poppy from Fuzzy Friends last week and brought her to Penelope's for her first grooming. I felt very comfortable leaving my girl in their hands. The staff and groomers were amazing!! Poppy looks so cute! I'll definitely be a return customer and would recommend Penelope's to anyone.
