Royal Pet Salon & Dog Grooming

I had never taken our puppy who's 8 months to the groomers before for a bath but he's a little big for me to bathe him and he needed it. I took him here they bathed him clipped his nails and he seemed very happy when I picked him up and proud of his new clean look. I did not get a haircut for the puppy just to wash and a nail clip and ear cleaning. It was kind of pricey about $60 but worth it as I try to get him comfortable and familiar with bathing.

This was my first time to bring my little 7 lb Shorkie here. She did such a great job on her haircut! I did a full grooming on my dog which included a nail trim and grind and the nails looked amazing as well! The drop off and pickup was very easy as well. I would definitely recommend coming here for your dog’s grooming.

i sent my dog before 4:30 because they had lmk i can bring my dog before 5:00. they then told me they can do it but they will have to shave him all. they called me like 2 hours later and said they couldn’t finish the groom because he had “ticks” but when i went he only showed me 1 tick that was in his back that was it. they sent him not showered his half body still had fur dangling from his bottom. i know they have precautions but c’mon they sent my shihtzu home looking like that just because he had like up to 2 ticks on him. very disappointed in the place. they shouldn’t have even charged me $43 with the work they did. especially because they didn’t even finish!! this is a very bad place to take your fur baby’s i will provide pictures on how they left him! please don’t take your puppy’s or dogs to this place! never again will i take my poor milo there!!!😔😡

I have purposely waited until I could write this review without malice and hypertension. I had used Eric for over a year, liked his work and he was 3 minutes from my house. PERFECT, right? Then one day I took my Schnauzer in for appointment, a non English speaking person was the only one there. I got Tiger back shaved to the skin, except his beard. I was blown away asking for explanations. Eric said it was my fault, they tried to call to say Tiger was full of mats. NOT TRUE, I always keep him brushed. I said Eric, I pay you extra to do a special cut. You should have know I wouldn’t authorize this. He raised his voice to me all the while refusing any responsibility and wanted to still be paid for the special cut. I can forgive people when a mistake is made. But taking no responsibility and blaming me , you insult my intelligence Sir. So everything can be going along fine for years and then one day with no warning you’ll have an experience that takes almost a year to recover. From the other negative reviews, there seems to be a pattern. I wish I could give NO STARS.

Just a reminder, don't ever take your dog to get groomed at Royal Pet Salon & Dog Grooming in McAllen! They cut up my poor dog's ear! She came home traumatized and she had cuts all over her ears. I've taken her to a few other grooming places and this is the only place that she's ever been traumatized by. She always comes back happy and when I got her back from them she wasn't her self at all. She stayed to herself and didn't want to play or have any attention. I took her to the vet because her cuts got worse and they told me that she got an infection due to the cuts. I called royal pet salon and the owner there didn't want to own up to her groomers mistakes and mishandling. Finally she agreed to pay for half of the vet bill and medicine needed for my dogs ears, but she told me that I had to remove all my post about Royal Pet Salon & Dog Grooming. I would never recommend this place to anyone! It's horrible seeing your dog in pain and not being able to know exactly what they did to her.
