Petco

This Petco sucks! I went this morning around 9:30 a.m. to buy soft food for my dog. I walked in and the store was dark so I thought it was closed. I asked if they were open and they said yes. I could NOT read the ingredients on the labels because was so dark. I asked an employee if they could turn on the lights and she said no. The lights are programmed to turn on at 11 a.m.!!! So, if you need to shop early at this Petco, make sure to take a flashlight with you!!!

The cashier was so sweet and very knowledgeable about items I asked about. She should teach customer service to all the employees. She is how all cashiers should be. Happy and positive to all customers. Beyond impressed with that young lady.

Was refused service yesterday by who I'm ASSUMING was the manager (a tall heavy set young woman with long dark wavy hair and glasses). I was trying to buy a small turtle for my kids and a small tank that I figured would be large enough for the turtle. Since they did have 5 turtles in a 4 foot long tank. I figured a 5.5 would be sufficient. Anyways, the cashier wanted to upsale me on a 20ft tank and I told her I didn't think I needed a tank that large. My mother was with me when she brought out the tall girl. She also suggested that larger tank and said that was the only size the small turtle could survive in. ( I had 3 customers in the line waving their hands NO and shaking their heads at me)She went on talking with my mother because my mother has a boss that has the same size turtle for years in a small tank. The girl said she could refuse the sale or I could purchase the 20ft tank that would probably be cheaper. I asked to show it to me and she proceeded to discuss the matter with MY MOTHER. Mind you, I'M the one trying to make the purchase NOT my mother. Anyway, I asked her to please show me the tank and not argue with my mother because I'M the one making the purchase, not HER. So the girl decided to refuse the sale all together. We left with my 9 year old crying because he really wanted the turtle.

Usually employees are fairly nice but recently they have had an attitude the times I’ve come in. Today my cashier snatched my money from me where even the coins fell and you could tell she was annoyed to assist customers.

Came to petco to purchase a recovery suit for my dog. Was told by both front employees in 2 different occasions. That the size on the shelf was the only one available. Bought it, went home it didn't fit, ordered it only and was ready in an hour the right size. I had to go home and order and go back to pick up because both employees were too lazy to look for item. Disappointed. Read reviews petco responds that they'll address issues but they don't.
