Boomtown and Martin are the absolute best! We brought our family dog brisket in for a groom and he’s a ranch dog, definitely not used to being groomed. Martin was so patient and kind to our brisket! Highly recommend as a patient wonderful and incredibly talented groomer!
10/10 every single time I bring my dog here. The people who work here are very professional and they listen to what your suggestions are about how you want your dogs hair to be cut. They take notes so you don’t have to worry about them maybe forgetting something you asked them to do for your dog. The price for my dog was $50, which is great compared to other dog groomers in the area. I highly recommend this place to every dog owner in the B/CS area. When I went today, my dogs hair was cut by Martin, Martin is very nice and is amazing at cutting hair. Martin is very respectful and professional and I recommend you ask for Martin to cut your dogs hair when you bring your dog.
I asked my veterinarian (Tabor Vet) who they trusted to groom my dog, and they told me about BoomTown Groomers. I have sent Nugget several times, and always had a great experience with whoever was grooming her. However, the past several times we lucked into Martin grooming Nugget and I swear the two have bonded (maybe Martin bonds with all of his clients? I choose to believe we’re special). While Nugget is never thrilled to get a shampoo, she does not get anxious about going here. We schedule every other time for a full groom, and a Face Feet Fanny in between.
Martin loves my Poodles and they love him! He does a beautiful job!
Edit: Edit: There are quiet a few dog Facebook groups that Boomtown gets trashed on for their constant misunderstanding and shaving dogs. Wish I would have researched more before bring my dog in. My dog gets groom regularly every 5-6 weeks. DO NOT say my dog is not not well looked after. We did not ask for her face to be shaved. There were a few mats on her tail where her hair grows long that are usually cut off but not on her face not on the rest of her body. I'm not mad at him because YOU got it wrong, I'm mad at the customer service received afterwards and response that the manager/owner will call us back but then never does. If your not gonna take our call then they should have just said so. Original post: Please avoid Boom Town Groomer, they “misunderstood” and shaved my dog. The groomer then tried to blame us. They screened all of our calls when we wanted to speak to the manager/owner. They only answer when we call from different number and we never get a call back from the manager/owner. Found out on Facebook it’s a common problem for them to have “misunderstandings”. I have 5 dogs that I have taken to get groomed since they were puppies and I have never had a groomer misunderstand enough to shave my dog. I just moved to College Station and I’ll be making the trip Houston for my dog grooming needs. They are still ignoring our calls.
