We love Friends of Toto! They're always flexible and available for doggy daycare. Our pup is also always totally exhausted after a day spent there running around with pals. Cannot recommend them enough!
We’ve been using FoT for close to 4 years for both grooming and the occasional daycare/boarding so this review is overdue. Every experience has been great. Our two dogs always look great after grooming and Madison takes the time to talk through the cut and style of our poodle mix to make sure we’re really happy with the outcome. One particular instance I want to call out was how amazing FoT was with squeezing in a same day grooming appointment for our rescue when we first brought her home and she was in desperate need of a groom.
I always had a strange gut feeling when dropping my dog off. They never seemed happy to see my dog. Staff were never friendly and rarely shared many details about how my dog did or what he did during the day. Nothing major ever happened but I chose to bring my dog to Paradise Paws in East Providence and it is like night and day. I wish I looked at different day care options sooner because the staff at Paradise paws are actually caring and friendly. Highly suggest following your gut feeling as many have mentioned. Overall, super weird and condescending vibes.
Bonnie is a big fan! She is a rescue lab/mix with tons of energy and always comes back to us wiped out and happy to see us. She runs in every time and doesn’t look back! We have used FOT for day care here and there (10 passes usually last us several months) and for a week to a week+ while on trips 2-3 times per year or for an overnight if we are having guests. Bonnie is playful, but has tons of anxiety. We get her vaccinated with the additional canine flu shot each year as a personal precaution around any other dogs. Staff is caring and front desk is easy to talk to.
My boy Jackson has LOTS of energy! Even though I work from home I bring him here at least twice a week to tire him out and give him the socialization he needs. He has severe separation anxiety, so the first couple times I brought him there he was a bit hesitant. Now I can’t even say the word “Toto” if he’s within earshot. He doesn’t even look at me when I drop him off… he jumps on the door because he can’t get inside fast enough. Staff has always been very nice and the fact they have Sunday/after hours availability is a life saver. Knowing I always have somewhere to bring him in the event of an emergency is priceless. Thank you Friends of Toto!!
