This store is wonderful. Owner & staff very helpful & knowledgable. I have asked so many questions regarding my pets diet, wellness, products, etc. I always leave knowing the information I received is helpful. Recently had an issue with cat food purchased at this location, returned hassle-free. It’s just really rare to find folks so happy to help this day & age. Thank you for serving our community!

They offer a top notch household pet store and accessories section. The fish are usually in very good condition and they offer a 48 hr. guaranty on most. They also offer a wide variety of reptiles,amphibians,birds, and rodents. Also I've seen some farm birds seasonally. They offer an expanded farm and home tack section and there workers are knowledgeable. Easy to shop, check it out.

My birds and I absolutely love this store I don't get to come all that often because I caretake for my 94 year old Grandma now but I do specialty Arucana/Americana mixes and various crested chickens and love how we are all welcomed in this store and they have wonderful rewashable fire hardened reptile bedding that is perfect when I have to bring precious flock members indoors at night due to predators

Edit: I recently posted about bad service in the Cortland CountryMax store. This issue was promptly taken care of and and I thank everyone that reached out and made this right. I now have purchased the snake and this store has proven it deals in good faith. I'm very disappointed in this store. I was in there to purchase a snake. There was no sign on the cage saying it was unavailable. I went to get help with getting it and one of the girls said that someone was trying to buy Erichs snakes. I thought that was weird. Then she told me it was unavailable because her coworker was going to buy it. What kind of store allows this as a policy. Do not recommend. I will be shopping online from this point on. I tried hard to keep my business local. But when policies like this exist. Why bother.

FIVE STARS ⭐️ for the staff! They are incredible. Forrestt and the rest of the crew are always so helpful and super friendly. They even help load up my large orders with smiles on their faces. I love having some place within driving distance to get Kalmbach. One star deducted because I pick up a monthly order and there are always missing items, sometimes critical items. I have yet to receive a complete order. In all fairness though, I’m not 100% sure if this is fault of Kalmbach or the store.
