K & K grooming is a “mom and Pop” shop and they are absolutely fantastic! No bells or whistles, but they get down the business and know what they’re doing. I’ve been going there for over five years and never be happier.

November 2023. I used K &K pet grooming on Wrightsville avenue in Wilmington, North Carolina for multiple years. When it was owned by the sisters. They were the best groomers and best value in town. After a break for a few years, I got another dog and went back to try to use K&K. We set up an appointment for a Monday and was told that drop off was from 8:00 to 9:00. I arrived at 8:10 and found the door locked and no one there. I remained there for another 15 minutes. Upon checking online it stated they were closed on Mondays. I returned the next day, on Tuesday, at 8:10 and was told I had missed my appointment. It was on Monday. I told them I came and no one was there. The girl said oh sorry I was running late. Stuck in traffic yesterday. No call to see if there was a reason we had not shown up or wanted to reschedule. Was told that there could not be any grooming done when I arrived due to missing my appointment and then being booked up. Crap customer service and an uncaring worker. I will not use or recommend them anymore.

We have been here a couple of times, they take all day and are always late for drop offs. Was told that drop off was between 8-10 arrived at 8:10 and the doors were locked. I waited until 8:45 and had to leave to get to work at 9. I understand things happen but a phone call would have been nice if they were going to be late. Needless to say, i found the doggy play spot and explained my situation, they are squeezing us in this afternoon.

I let my indoor, untreated cat out on the porch and he got fleas, imagine that! I took him to K&K’s and they treated him royally and rid him of the fleas. Full disclosure I had the house treated the same day, 9 days later we are flea free. I highly recommend this groomer.
