Bark Avenue Pet Salon

There are A LOT of groomers in very dog-friendly Wilmington NC. However, there's only one Bark Avenue and Christy. The premises are always spotless and Christy's wonderful little boy (Boo-Boo) patters about spreading calm and cheer to the clients. No racks of terrified pups awaiting their turn here, just a quiet, welcoming efficiency hangs in the air. Christy herself is outstanding at her craft PLUS she listens carefully to what owners want done and always follows through. She is friendly, knowledgeable and highly professional. Finally, Christy is great at predicting what time your pup will be ready and, if she's held up for some reason, she lets you know in plenty of time. Howver, this almost never happens. My pups, Mimi & Madeline always look great when I pick them up, and most importantly, they do not appear stressed in the least. Bark Avenue is by far the best choice for your pet in this city. I took my three shih tzu’s to get groomed by Christy for the first time today. We recently moved and this would be the first time with a new groomer and I was a little nervous. Christy was so warm and welcoming and really listened to how I wanted each dog to be groomed. I also explained their different personalties and their comfort level on being handled. When I came back to pick them up, they were all in good spirits and they looked absolutely amazing!! I’m so happy that I found her and won’t have to look any further for groomer for my pups!

Picked up my dog, eyes were closed swollen and red. Obviously medicated shampoo got into his eyes. Owner did not mention what happened and did not respond when called to see if she tried to flush eyes. Ended up going to vet and had to eye wash and use drops to recover.

My miniature schnauzer Jackson had his first groom with Christy today and she is wonderful! I knew the moment I met her that he'd be in good hands. She is very warm and welcoming and made me feel at ease right away. My little guy can be quite a handful when it comes to getting his paws groomed and nails cut. He is not a fan of having his feet touched but Christy did a great job and was very patient with him. He looks fantastic with his new haircut. He wasn't stressed when I picked him up and was happy on the ride home. I highly recommend Christy and Bark Avenue and am happy to have found our new groomer here in Wilmington.

I have been taking my little peekapoo Oreo to Bark Avenue for a few years now. Christy the groomer is very friendly and professional and always does a good job cutting my dogs hair to my exact specifications. More importantly, Oreo gets very excited whenever we pull up to Bark Ave, as if she knows she's about to be pampered! She is always very happy coming out of the salon too. If you want your dog to look good and feel comfortable and at ease, Bark Avenue is the place!! Also the prices are very reasonable.
