Ali's K-9 Clips

My Siberian Husky, Bear, was in desperate need of a groom and Ali's K9 Clips came to the rescue with their service & price! I receive compliments from people everywhere we go about how great he looks and I recommend Ali every time.

We had taken our dog to Ali’s K9 Clips to get groomed, as we like to support small business in the Wilmington area. We had called the previous Saturday to schedule an appointment and they booked our dog for the next Saturday. On the phone, we went over details of the grooming service and what would be included in the cost. We took our dog at his scheduled appointment time and was told he was not in their system. Ali was still able to take our dog in for the day for a bath, cut, nails, and ears. We were told that pick up would be between 12-1 pm. We got a call and picked our dog up at 12:45. We were told they could not cut his nails, so we still paid full price and tipped over 20%. Once we got in the car, the cut looked fine, but his fur did not smell like he had a bath or feel like it. His ears were barley cleaned and we ended up taking him to K9000 to give him a bath and clean his ears with solution and towels. We called Ali’s K9 Clips the following week to ask what treatment our dog received and they said the only thing they couldn’t do were his nails. We asked if they use scentless shampoo and they stated they use lavender shampoo. Our dog definitely did not smell like lavender when we picked him up. She stated that they cleaned his ears, and admitted they should have done a better job. We mentioned that we searched them on google and found 8 similar reviews with the same issue, and she responded that the reviews are fake and not real customers. It’s hard to believe that those customers would have the same issues we had, and be fake. We asked for a partial refund for the services we did not receive and she said there is no way she can refund us. We were adamant on the phone about the services it appeared our dog had not received and she accused us of threatening her. She got defensive and said we were accusing her of false information from our experience and google reviews and hung up the phone. One of the google reviews from 3 months ago with a similar experience was replied to by Ali’s K9 Clips and stated “if a client is unhappy we go above and beyond to correct the situation”. We can attest to the fact that Ali did not “go above and beyond” to correct our situation. We had recommended Ali’s K9 Clips to one of our close friends before we got our dog back and immediately withdrew that recommendation and advised her not to see her dog there post grooming. We will 100% never recommend Ali’s K9 Clips to anyone in Wilmington and support alternative small businesses!

I’ve been taking my dog to Ali since she’s been a puppy. She’s going on 8 years old. Ali and her staff have always done an amazing job. Always professional and efficient! What I’ve asked for has always been done properly and with poise. I would recommend her business to anyone (as I have). She also grooms my Mom’s dog and always does an exceptional job. Both dogs always come home happy, clean, and looking beautiful. Dog and owner approved!

I have gone here twice and both times they did not do a good job of grooming my dogs. The first time my dog’s haircut were very un proportional and there were multiple, obvious, missed spots. One of my dogs ear were not shaved down at all. The next time I went back, I asked them to cut the same length and trim my one dog’s ears down a lot more. When I got them back her ears looked barely trimmed and just brushed out. As well as both of my dogs barely looking like they have been cut down at all.
