Tall Tails Grooming

We just wanted to share our experience with others. We chose this place because of all of the 5 star reviews-however, our puppy did not receive a 5 star visit, unfortunately. We booked the appointment 2-3 days in advance online. The next morning we received a text that, due to cancellations, they could fit our pet in for a bath and trim, but in the future, they may not be able to accommodate him. I was absolutely confused about receiving this text and replied back asking if there was an issue with his appointment and why was he being “fit in” if they had an opening and availability to book?! Melanie then said that they were not accepting any new clients at this time but would accommodate him since they had cancellations anyway🤔I then received an email with an extended contract that I had to sign before they provided any services. I had never seen anything like this before at another pet groomer and that should’ve been another red flag 🚩 that they’ve obviously had issues at this place before. Fast forward to today, I dropped our puppy off and they texted less than a hr later that he was almost ready. My husband picked him up and then called me saying they cut his ear!! I immediately reached out to the groomer, Stephanie, absolutely upset because he had been to other groomers before and this had never happened!! They then sent an invoice offering 10% off when they absolutely should not have charged us after butchering our sweet boy. At this point, we pray that it doesn’t get infected and warrant a visit to the ER, antibiotics, etc. The trim was decent but it definitely wasn’t worth it at the expense of his health. Please be careful when bringing your baby here. I don’t want anyone else to experience what our sweet boy did.

My dogs love their grooming experiences with Samantha and Tall Tails. They are treated to one on one hands on grooming in a no stress environment and enjoy their appointments. Samantha brings years of experience to her business, as she reportedly served as a vet tech at a local DVM for years. My pets have been her clients since she opened the business and will continue to do so. I appreciate the personal, caring services my pets receive.

We are so glad that we found Samantha and Tall Tails Grooming. We have an older lab and we were asked not to come back to the groomers we had in Knightdale because she is too nervous standing on the table. We were told about Tall Tails from our vet and reached out. I am so glad we did. Samantha is just the sweetest girl… and she has done such a nice job on our Bouvier and our lab. We are very happy and would recommend Tall Tails to anyone and everyone. She treats your dog like it’s hers❤️

Samantha is absolutely amazing! She is very thorough and works really well with my dog lady. I love that she grooms lady in a very short time as I know most groomers take 4-5+ hours. She is very responsive through text message and also treats your dog like her own. Reliable, affordable, caring and very very professional. Five stars all around!!!
