Decadent Dogs

Tonya has been my groomer for over 26 years and there is a reason why! Aside from her superb grooming skills and knowing how each breed is intended to be cut, the level of trust with my fur children is beyond compare. She treats every dog with love, respect, and care; and I have never been worried leaving them with her. Tonya goes above and beyond for all of her clients/pets and I rarely go anywhere without someone asking me 'what groomer do you go to' when they see my dogs. They are all maltese with long coats and she knows exactly how to groom, bath, cut, nail trims, and anal gland expression. I love Tonya but I think my 3 dogs love her even more! Tonya is the best of the best!

I started taking Carly, my Cockapoo, to Tonya at Decadent Dogs in 1994 when I first moved to Morrisville, NC. Now I take Bella my Cockapoo to Tonya and absolutely love the way Tonya grooms Bella! Tonya, you are the best and I am very thankful for you. I posted before and after photos of Bella’s first grooming in May 2022. I also posted a Christmas picture of her now.

Decadent Dogs is a wonderful grooming experience for your precious fur baby. Tonya is professional, loving, and an extremely talented groomer. Her shop is clean and the dogs are quiet and content as they wait for their turn to spend time with her. Tonya has a great knowledge and understanding of dogs. If you have questions she has great advice for your fur babies as she has so much experience with all different breeds. We have been with Tonya for over 15 years and this is our second dog with her. We wouldn’t think of going to anyone else.

They handled my shihtzu puppy very well for his first grooming. Made him feel cery comfortable with the space and tools. They were nice and gentle with my puppy. Loved their service.

We have been taking our dogs to Decadent Dogs/Tonya for grooming for almost 20 years. We were very fortunate to find Tonya as she is a highly skilled groomer with 30 years of experience. Tonya is very good at reading dogs and knowing the best way to introduce them to the grooming process and/or make them feel more comfortable while they are being groomed. For instance, the first time we took our daughter's puppy to Tonya, she recommended a bath and very basic grooming on the paw pads and private area. This gradual introduction to the process worked well and Oliver had a full grooming at his next appointment and did great! In the past, one of our older dogs had a small lump on her eyelid that we had not yet noticed. After routine grooming, Tonya mentioned this cyst to us so we could get it checked by our vet. We were thankful for her keen attention to our dog's physical health. It turned out to be a benign cyst that was removed and healed well. The fact that it was caught while still small made the surgery easier and reduced the healing time. Thank you Tonya! If I could give Tonya more than 5 stars, I would. She is kind and extremely skilled at working with all types of dogs and making them feel comfortable. Tonya really listens to her clients, is an excellent communicator, and always goes the extra mile to make sure her clients and their dogs are happy. I recommend her wholeheartedly!
