I went right before they closed for the night on Dec 23, right before Christmas Eve. I had to get a last min Christmas present for my 9 year old son who just went through brain surgery a few days before. As a mom just trying to pull off a decent Christmas for my kid, I was absolutely scrambling to get a last minute “Santa” gift. I arrived at PetSmart and truly appreciate the assistant manager, Josh. While I felt terrible coming in right before they closed, he made sure to help me get a big fish tank, fish, accessories and food. He was so patient and helpful and he even helped me load it in my car. I’m so grateful for his guidance and help as I know nothing about fish and wanted to give my son an aquarium for Christmas. Super grateful for his knowledge and kindness.
I'm a regular at this PetSmart, I go here for everything that I need for my animals and they have always been helpful. We are still living through the aftermath of Hurricane Helene and my vet is closed still and my dog is almost out of prescription food. I usually buy it from Amazon and they directly reach out to my vet for the prescription. I called PetSmart and asked if they could in any way allow me to buy my dog's food and the associate went and checked, came back and told me that without proof that my dog needs the prescription they can't sell it to me, and before I even had a chance to respond or to ask more follow-up questions (BECAUSE MY DOG NEEDS HIS FOOD TO SURVIVE AND WE ARE STILL RECOVERING) she automatically said okay thank you for calling have a good day. Unbelievable.
Honestly I would have never said anything but since you sent a survey I will. The associates or should I say associate as only one was fully present during my whole time in the store. They seemed like they didn’t want to be there a girl came out of the back at one time and was like I’m on lunch you have to wait. It took over 30 minutes to check out. Most people in line put their stuff down and walked out. If my dog wasn’t hurt and needed the items I would have to.
The 2 ladies that helped me were so helpful amd friendly. I was getting info on birds and they helped me so much!! The week before I had seen the taller one help an old lady carry out a small thing of cat food and I thought it was so sweet.
Cashier was very nice, purchased a tarantula and the lady helping me wasn’t friendly and was extremely rude. She was talking down to me, she was trying to give me reasons not to buy such as it jumps and is fast? Seemed very unprofessional and unable to help customers needs without an attitude. Understandable to be frustrated but I was very kind and made the transaction in less than 10 minutes of coming into the store.
