Petco Grooming

I found Kelleigh at Petco Missoula some months ago and have been so happy with her work and manner. She’s thoughtful, practical, and kind and my puppy comes out happy, clean, and looking cute. Before, we were going to Pet Smart to a groomer there who was highly recommended and still we had several bad experiences, in addition to long waits and a dirty, chaotic environment. Here we can get in quickly and it is so much better. 🌟

I never post bad reviews, but have to this time. We paid extra for nail trimming which was not done. One of our dogs had a few small matts in her fur which we were told needed to be cut out. When they cut them out they chopped her tail so bad it looked like a kindergartner cutting her own hair. For the price I feel like I could have done a better job myself.

The experience was good. Friendly staff! I took my two dogs to get both bathed and one a haircut. The one who just got the bath and brush out turned out great. The one who got the haircut didn't turn out so well. Spots were missed and my husband specifically asked for half to one inch from head to tail. Her face is still fluffy and they didn't cut anything off her tail. Definitely a little disappointed but it was a fair price

The experience that I had today with the grooming salon at Petco was beyond appalling. I have a Lhasa Apso, and he is groomed on a regular basis. Never once have I had a groomer tell me that they had difficulty with him. BOTH of the groomers that were in the salon today said that they could not fully groom him due to him not cooperating. He came out of the salon without being fully groomed, uneven hair length all over his body, ear grooming at two different lengths, etc. When I walked up to the store, I literally saw the groomer wrestling with my dog. It did not help that this groomer had acrylic fingernails that were filed to a point, and all I could think of is how much they would resemble claws to an animal. My dog hid under the coffee table as soon as we walked in the door at home, and he is walking strangely and been spinning uncomfortably due to how close the shaving was done around his tail and back end. I have filed complaints with both the store general manager and Petco corporate due to this incident. I do appreciate the GM Zach taking my complaint seriously and taking photo evidence of the poor cut. I will NEVER use the grooming services at this Petco, again. It is unfortunate, as I lived in Puerto Vallarta and the Petco Grooming there was absolutely top-notch.

I wish i could remember the name of our Awesome groomer today. Such an awesome experience she was super sweet and our dog is clean and shiny!!.
