I’ve always used Walgreens as a pharmacy for 15 years, and I just moved back to the Traverse City area. This Walgreens is closest to my home, and EVERY single time I try to fill anything, I’ve had nothing but issues. It started with updating my address information, and the next time I came in, they asked me for all my information to be updated again. The staff is unbelievably rude (except for one older, long haired guy), they are either out of what I need and hassle me about my normal, maintenance medication every time. They never call or message me when my prescriptions are ready, they partial fill medications and don’t alert me and when I came in to fill my ADHD medication, they told me they were out. The next day, I brought in a paper prescription for a different stimulant, the tech looked at it and said “we don’t have this”. I asked what DID they have in stock and he said “I can’t tell you”. My physician (who has a private practice) wrote me for a different stimulant and CAME IN WITH ME, then I was told they did have “some” of the medication and it would be ready after two. One of the pharmacists then called me an hour later and argued with me, said she wasn’t going to fill it because she called the physician and it went to “a private voicemail” and said it was a “red flag”. After I explained that he has a private practice and that he was JUST WITH ME, she also said THAT was a red flag!!! I asked her why, and she went silent. She then said “I didn’t understand how it works” (even though I work in medical myself), and that she would not fill the prescription without it being ePrescibed now. I explained the only reason we’re trying for a different medication is because they’ve been out of the other two!!!! Unbelievable!!! *** to follow up*** My physician called to speak to the pharmacist Leah that called his phone, she argued with him and as he was explaining why he had to come into the pharmacy with me, she said “I am not filling this prescription” AND HUNG UP ON HIM. Hung up on a doctor!!!!!!!

This pharmacy should be reported to the DEA! Absolutely incompetent ordering and refill process,. They literally refilled a pain killer / muscle relaxer and issued it to me with my normal routine maintenance medicine. My doctor sent a 3x refill of 4 medicines. First text/call/email stating ready for pickup resulted in picking up a very partial script. It has been two weeks since I have had blood pressure medicine. Today I arrive to pickup only one available and it is a complete 90 day supply. The only positive is there gentleman that works there And as always, very tentative and polite.

The lady with curly red hair & long painted nails cashiering today at 12:55p is rude as hell. The young cashier asked her if she could go use the restroom, and the rude lady glared at her and snapped at her to "hurry up". The poor girl even asked her not to talk to her like that. And the rude lady just ignored her. I get it, good help is hard to find but working customer service is clearly not for her.

I wouldn’t trust them to prescribe me ibuprofen. Do NOT have them fill any of your prescriptions. Especially if it’s something your body is dependent on, such as insulin. They say they will call you when your script is ready but they never call then they refuse to give you the prescription you have already paid for because you waited to long to pick it up.

Pharmacist Dave refuses to give a flu and COVID shot at 5pm. Pharmacy doesn’t close for a whole hour. Pharmacy tech was amazing. I asked what hours they administer vaccines and it was clear that this was the pharmacist denying vaccinations. For someone who is supposed to help our public health community this pharmacist is sure not doing their part.
