Quincy is amazing-beyond an excellent employee and best asset you have. He is doing a service above and beyond that by truly having the genuine care and concern and ability to listen and respond with valid helpful knowledge and advice and info. Seriously, if there was a Quincy in each pet store and even veterinarians office and shelter, our domestic animal friends would be so much better off, because he really cares and helps people and their pets. I’ve dealt with hundred of fake answers and make attempts at helping before in many different kinds of stores over my life. He is the opposite of that. He also reads people- he can catch a vibe of someone wanting alone shopping time or what not-if the person wants hemp or not and how much hemp. They’ll get it if they are lucky enough to have him there that day. He is never pushy-can tell if someone wants to just ponder alone about a decision regarding a purchase or if they could use any help-he doesn’t push his opinion or any products like someone did at the Scarborough store more than once. He is quietly friendly. He’s very intelligent and seems intuitive in that way. He only offers valid truly helpful info and will listen- it’s a rare thing these days to actually have someone listen and truly be heard by another with a genuinely caring concerned ear and a mind & heart to really help. He allows space-space for customers to think and shop and space and as much time the customer wants or needs to talk with the customer who are wondering about anything regarding pets and products for pets. He allows as much time as someone needs to feel completely sure. There is no better help anywhere. South Portland store, you should make him the manager!!! Have him get paid to train everyone there. He also always remembers people and the pets who visit the store. He is absolutely amazing. A truly honest to goodness good kindhearted helpful human being. He seemed happy for me to discover the dog food sale yesterday. He is aware that I foster dogs and pay for it all and am not a wealthy person. I also have two rescues when on the couch. He remembers my old dogs who both died last summer and was sympathetic to hear of their passing but happy to see me with a new dog and foster dogs. The one photo shows all the bags of food I got for just over $50.00 yesterday/all high quality kibbles. The couch photo is my two rescue dogs. The other photos are foster dogs/one I had recently and two more on the way within two weeks. ❤️

amazing job with my dog, super kind staff as soon as you walk in the store. very patient with your pet. many toys and treats for post grooming as well! very trustworthy staff, and the prices are very cheap compared to other places, will definitely be coming back. Thank you Elsa!

I was there recently at their walk in grooming clinic with my cat to have his nails trimmed. We have had good experiences in the past, but this particular time was horrible. The groomer Marissa made a comment about how big my cat was as soon as she saw him. The place was chaotic and there were also 2 dogs in the grooming area- one was in a cage barking and the other was with another groomer having its hair blow dried. All of this frightened my cat and made me uneasy as well. Long story short, as Marissa and another employee were handing me back my cat in his crate, they dropped him on the floor. He was upside down on the floor in his crate. I get that accidents happen, but there was no sense of urgency or emergency from either one of these employees and I also never received an apology during or after the incident. Marissa mentioned something about him biting her, but I wasn't sure if he really did because she barely spoke of it. He has also never bitten anyone who has groomed him- he has only lunged at someone a few times, but didn't actually bite them. It took me a while to process what had happened and I was still in shock when it came time to pay so I paid, tipped and left. I was so worried about my cat I could barely sleep that night. ( he was fine thankfully) I called the store the next day to complain and asked for a refund. The groomer reached out to me via text and tried to blame "the pain of the bite" for her lack of apology and for her lack of safety in handling my cat in his crate. I feel as though Marissa did not want to groom my cat and possibly doesn't like grooming cats in general-"big" or small. If you are frightening cats to the point of being bitten and also mishandling them to the point of them being dropped, then maybe you should stick with dogs or find a new profession. I also think the store should have separate clinic days for dogs and cats to avoid accidents like this happening in the future. Pets are family and should be treated as such. This store failed my cat.

We had a great experience with the dog grooming at Pet Supplies Plus! My chocolate lab is usually nervous at the groomer but here he was super comfortable to be there. Thanks Marissa!
