Mutty Paws Academy

Mutty Paws is one of the best dog daycare and boarding facilities around! My dog has been going here since he was a puppy and still enjoys going here every week! They are friendly, clean, accommodating, and always keep you updated on your pup! Thankful to have them!

I can’t say enough positive things about Mutty Paws!! My dog Ellie absolutely loves going there. ALL of the staff are AMAZING. They have been wonderful about giving us updates and accommodatIng any needs Ellie has. They engage the dogs in fun and creative activities and treat them as if they are their own. Ellie has also participated in their obedience class. Emma, the trainer we had was terrific!! I highly recommended this daycare to everyone.

Before coming to Mutty paws I was sending my dog to a daycare where the staff always seemed annoyed with my high energy pup, didn’t care to learn who we where and never bothered to learn how to properly apply his gentle leader. Since joining mutty paws I have never had any concern with the quality of care for my dog. They quickly learned who my dog was and grab him for me as soon as I enter the building for pick up (with a properly applied gentle leader). It is obvious the staff is well trained and takes pride in their jobs as they are always super friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I am continuously impressed with how they operate and make you and your dog feel welcomed and comfortable.

We had a great grooming experience for 2 chihuahua’s here, so we signed up for an evaluation for small dog group daycare. They do not really have this, given that for a truly small dog (6 lbs) this is an intimidating environment where dogs can hear much larger dogs and the group of dogs weighs a lot by true small dog standards. I found the evaluation brusque and unsympathetic. The groomer had to pick up my dog — I wouldn’t have let the evaluator pick me up either. Their excuse — “well in Maine we don’t really have that.” I’ll find another groomer, too, though the one we had was great. But I don’t have confidence in them as an organization — which pairs with some things I heard about them.

Whisky gets excited in the morning when I ask if he wants to go see his friends. He loves spending time here for daycare and I feel an ease of mind when he is boarding. The staff is always friendly and I'm always alerted of any issues that may arise. I also love the nightly report card that I get in my email when he is in boarding.
