Karen's Pet Grooming

This is going to be so long and I’m sorry, but my dog is sick, and I need to put this out there. So, my dog was going to Angie for a good while. At one time after coming from her he got really sick. Diarrhea and vomiting. I called her and asked her if she gave him anything to eat, because he has a very sensitive stomach so he doesn’t do very well with treats and just anything. She said no they don’t give them treats because they don’t know their allergies. Ok, I let that go. As time went on, I stopped taking him there about 1-2 yrs ago because it had gotten very annoying dropping him off at 8:30-9:00 am, and not picking him up until like after 7:00 pm. I made my decision to find someone else after picking him up one night after 10:00 pm. That was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Fast forward 1-2 yrs later. Saturday, October 12, 2024. I made an appointment with Angie. Dropped him off at 8:30, to my surprise got a call at 4:28. He’s ready. Ok cool, picked him up, he looked like he had a bad hair day, but the kicker is, he got home would not eat. Sunday morning his poop was runny and orange. Made him plain rice and chicken, he’s barely eating that, barely. It is now, Tuesday, October 15th, he’s still barely eating, still has diarrhea and now vomiting and dehydrated. My daughter and myself has tried to contact Angie but can’t seem to get anyone to pick up the phone. We will keep trying, not that it’s going to heal my dog, but we need answers. If she gave him treats please just be honest and say so although this has happened before and she said she didn’t. Shame on her the first time, shame on me this second time. He will never go back there. As for the reviews I have read about not giving them water or taking them out to potty and having them ALL day, this is absolutely true as well. I just want and need an honest answer as to what she gave my dog. He was perfectly fine until after he left her.

I came here with my 2 mini snauzhers. Both dogs needed a full haircut, but I was told that their fur was not long enough. Please note , I told Angie I groom my dogs myself at home, and that I just needed to get their paws cleaned up, facial and ear areas, and the sanitary areas cleaned. After I picked up my dogs, I immediately noticed that they tails and their bodies still looked Shaggy Meaning, their hair WAS long enough to shave from their body- I took this 'care' as, she wanted to save some time on 2 dogs that have to wait while she finished 2 others, so she didn't have to stay at work longer AND so i could come back and spend more money... . Also, The dog's ears although shaped up on the outside, we're not cleaned and shaved on the inside and there was a lot of hair on and around their ears... Corners were cut, and I paid $90 to get my dogs a bath and partial groom and to sit in a building for hours.. I won't be doing that again.. i try to give my animal friends the care, love and nurturing they deserve, ALL of which I can do from the comfort of my home with a natural dog shampoo, towels, and background music for me and them. And i can take my time and build more a trusting and loving relationship when i make it personal every time I'd also like to add that Angie waited 41 minutes to give me a phone call after I did not answer her text to pick up my dogs The photos attached are today (7-5-22) after I gave my dogs a bath WITHOUT shaving them myself yet. . It has not even been 2 weeks since i took the dogs to their appt and this is how their fur looks ... Other pics of my grey dog are when I groom them myself

So I took my dog to Karen’s Pet Grooming today. Worst decision. His hair was cut uneven on the top, he had patches, he smelled like he wasn’t bathed, and his nails wasn’t cut. She took 3hrs and 30 minutes and he was shaved all the way down. I’m not upset he was shaved down, I know he was matted.

On time n she is always helpful and most of all she loves pets even when she is sick, she came in and took care of the pets.

My poor little baby was a matted mess. They cleaned her well. She is only 4lbs and was scared. They were very gentle. They gave great tips on how too keep that yorkie poo coat in good condition. We will be seeing Karen every 6 weeks.
