You Dirty Dog

We used to love this place, but I don’t know what happened. We took our poodle puppy here a couple months ago, and were told that she was matted and therefore, her fur was cut shorter than we were expecting. We understood that this was our fault, so we were very careful to maintain her fur and brush her regularly. We tried to book our next grooming appointment, but they were shut down without notice for a month. We continued to maintain her fur, brushing her every day, but it was getting a bit more difficult since her fur was longer than we were expecting due to the schedule change. When they finally opened back up, we immediately booked a grooming appointment. We brushed her well the night before and the morning of. When we dropped her off, she only had a couple of tangles under her leg joints, which we mentioned at drop off. When we picked her up, she was completely shaven and the groomer said she was “matted all over.” She absolutely was NOT matted all over. And even if she was, the groomer could have called us to let us know she was going to need to take such measures before just doing it and giving us a shock. Our cute teddy bear looking pup with perfect curls now looks like a rat and it is going to take 2 months to grow back to normal. We are just so upset, especially because of all the time and effort we put in this time to maintain her fur. We will not be coming back.See the before and after pics. Brought my German Shepherd there a week ago and she had never been to a groomer, they made her feel safe and would take to her when she would whine (like German Shepherds do) they washed her (she smelled amazing) and clipped her nails and trimmed very minimum of her hair, which I asked for. I would gladly bring my other dogs too. She put a bandana on my dog and it was so cute, Very clean for how many dogs they groom. Owner is back permanently and she is the sweetest. I would 100% recommend this groomer to anyone and everyone

I have been taking my dog here for about 10 years. She use to be scared of the groomers but now she loves going. The owner and staff are so nice and patient. When she was scared they would comfort her and play with her and for me that's priceless

Clean, easy to use self serve grooming area. I recommend you use your own shampoo though. I suggest using horse shampoo, especially on light dogs. I used Quic Silver and Blu Frost, from Dover Saddlery. These brighten white very well. Dover carries "Gallop" brand shampoos which enhance chestnut, bay, black, and grey/white color. Staff were also able to cut his nails even though he is SUPER WIGGLY. Also a very nice cat serves as greeter 😊

you have to be very adamant to one of the girls there as 1 of them totally ignored me when I requested she NOT USE bluing on my Great Pyrenees. My dog is allergic to it, and even though the gal dismissed it as being rinsed out, she didn't rinse it that well, because she scratched till a raw spot formed! Same gal sheared a LOT of hair off back end, I had told her a small sanitary clip ONLY, but the dark haired gal did a WIDE amt and ruined her Show Coat!! That fluff took 3yrs to grow!! Problem with this gal was she was too busy chatting it up with another customer there, and NOT EVEN LISTENING TO ME!!! I would go back, but would only accept help from the blond gal in the Photo below. she did try to stop the other gal from her actions, I have only ever gone there before new ownership to do the bathing of my dog myself, but the gal she was chatting with was NOT the OWNER. I AM! That was what went wrong with my last visit there. I'm a gray haired old lady sitting in a wheelchair. The Pyr is my Service Dog!! & I did not want that much fluff sheared off her back end!! (her excuse?? less for me to groom!.) My pyr was combed out before we came. she is brushed daily!! Still makes me ANGRY, which is why I had not done an immediate review.
