The lady who owns this place is crazy. I parked in front of her shop and she screamed at me and cursed me out in front of my 2 year old! None of the spots in the parking lot are reserved, but apparently you will set this lady off if you park in certain spaces. After reading other reviews, I’m not surprised to learn that she abuses animals. She is a very aggressive angry lady towards people and apparently innocent fur babies as well! I wish I could give negative stars.
OMG. About 2 months ago I took my 10 year old Shih Tzu who is partially blind and very skittish and moves slowly and can't jump as a result of being used as bait to train fighting Pit Bulls before I rescued her, to this HELL HOLE that advertises they are Professional Groomers, they ARE NOT, far from it. I like her groomed with the Puppy Dog look and I showed them a picture of how I had her groomed previously. I also want a short shave because her fur grows so fast, it looked like they barely shave her at all. When I picked her up and they put her up on the counter, she LEAPED into my arms, scared to death and they hadn't even groomed her face or ears at all. She looked the same as when I dropped her off. Then they told me they even gave her an Anal Cleaning because you have to squeeze the anal glands every now and them so they don't get clogged up. I have NEVER had a groomer or my Vet tell me anything like that. When I got her home, she just dragged her butt on the floor and I knew something was wrong. What ever they did, they hurt her. However, after I paid significantly more than I was told it was going to be and against my better judgement, I took her back to have her face clipped. She was clinging so tight to me and didn't want to leave my arms. First they argued with me and told me they clipped her exactly like the picture I had shown them, so I showed it to them again. Reluntantly they agreed to shave it some more and you can believe I wasn't about to leave her and didn't take my eyes off of her while they clipped her face and then wanted to charge me $10.00 more, that didn't happen and I swore I would NEVER go back to that place again and let everyone know in advance, if you love your pet DO NOT take them there. If I would have read the Reviews in advance I would NEVER have taken her there in the first place. I have learned my lesson to always read the Reviews and I suggest you do as well.
I've been going to Paws & Claws for *years* - back when they were on Transcontinental. Love Bobby to pieces, he's a sweetie, *KNOWS* his trade extremely well and *never* had a single problem with one of our four legged babies. I always thought it was sweet of him to complement us on how well behaved our babies are (ever see a Mini Doxie sit completely still while having her claws trimmed? ... or a Yorkie that is nowhere near hyper and likes to "hold hands"? Well, that's our sweet babies). Bobby ... I *know* to this very day, you still have very fond memories of Odie. I find it hard to believe he was lost to us a little over six years ago. I keep thinking that I'm going to wake up from that nightmare and he's going to be nudging the covers up "mommy's" back to keep her warm. He'd wake me up every single time he did that, I'd pretend to be fast asleep ... and I'd slowly pull the covers up so that he thought he covered "mommy" all by himself. Such a sweet baby - he loved *everyone* he met (hehee - even your cats!). Will be bringing "Sir Sirius" in sometime next month ... I can't afford it this month :( He's doing fine as is Lady Loki - we had to move, and they adapted to their new surroundings much more quickly than we had expected. Even more importantly, they've made many new two and four legged friends :) We were really worried about that. Anyhey, I cannot *BELIEVE* I had the honor of "First Review". However, that saddens me because you guys and gals have *always* been great to us and great with our "babies" and I *KNOW* that we are not your only customers whom have wonderful reviews, memories and stories to tell. Tell the others that *BEAKER DEMANDS* that all of your customers whom have computer access to get their butts on here to tell everyone what they think! Hugs & Much Love from, Beaker (or the chick with the almost classic Mustang :b), The Irish man, Lady Loki, Sir Sirius (and of course, Odie - whom will forever remain in our hearts and thoughts). P.S. Since last we met, Sir Sirius has been officially declared by one of my doctors as a full fledged *SERVICE DOG*. Now, how do I go about getting his "orange jacket" and Photo ID so I don't have to show the blasted letter every single time I go into a different establishment???
I have been taking my dogs there for years. In fact I have a Chow who tries to bite me when I try to bath her. They have no problem with her. I am very surprised when I read these reviews. They always have been professional with me.
Always very nice. I have spent much more at other places only to have my dog cut up and bleeding. Only place I bring my dog now, 4 years now, no issues and no cuts.
