This review is strictly for the deli section I get a chicken wrap from here almost daily they are totally inconsistent, by which I mean the size, and filling changes dramatically and today I bought 2 sandwiches as I normally would and wow they were terrible, I bit into it and cringed, the chicken was old tough and grey and seemed to be microwaved, I could go on into explicit detail but I'm just truly let down by the on going Russian roulette chicken Caeser wraps, I will not be taking a gamble for awhile I'm out a much needed $12 because I'm not petty enough to go to customer service and complain, but please do better the literal best part of my day and might as well be life over the past couple years has been sitting in the parking lot and eating a chicken wrap and sipping my lil drink on the real real, do better
I love Rouses but it’s getting hard to want to support them considering this location does NOT rotate expired food products. I’ve bought so many expired products from them accidentally. Check the dates before you buy anything. The oldest product I purchased was from December of 2023… Rouses PLEASE start rotating stock. Stop selling expired product. If you go for their deli stuff, it’s excellent. The bakery is great. There’s a large selection of fresh food to pick from and they never disappoint! The expired food is just a deal breaker. Products I bought that were expired: Snapple pink lemonade (6 pack) Motts Apple Juice Taco Bell Salsa Queso Rouses strawberry chocolate bar Loaf of packaged raisin bread
My go to place to get alcohol. Everyone is always friendly but occasionally I go to lane 1 and that lady there doesn't seem happy to be there. Other than that, I really like it
Rouses cashiers are NEVER happy to see you. It is very rare that you even get acknowledged. You awkwardly stand there as they start scanning you out. No “did you find everything okay” “how is your day going” nothing. All you get is have a good day. Makes me want to start driving all the way into town just to go to Kroger.
I like Rouses bc I live close by, it's very convenient & they have the freshest produce and meat in this community when comparing to market basket & Walmart. The meat deals are great when on sale. However, I ordered a plate lunch in the deli once & was shocked when my order rang up $16+ at the register and I had a pork chop & mash potatoes only w-a small side salad. When I asked if the amt was correct the girl at the register said that it's $8.99 per pound. I just said never again. A year later (today) I had forgotten all about that experience & went to Rouses today, when I got to my car, the battery was dead. It was almost 100° outside & I went in to get the man who helped me some fresh fruit (couple pieces of watermelon, cantaloupe, & honeydew melon(no more than 3 pieces each) w-blueberries. I also walked over and got a small square stire foam Togo box and put 3 small baby back bbq ribs in it with a vegetable mix. It all fit in the little square foam-not the big dinner size one, and when I went to the register.. again.. shock!! $17+ for that!! I couldn't believe it and then remembered my previous experience. Yall.. that price is outrageous and have no idea how yall are selling any of that at that rate. That's not even a full meal. One meat and one vegetable w-a small side of fruit!?? $17+ Yall have to reconsider this pricing. It's such a ripoff to your customers and your employees seem to think the same even with their little few cent discount they get.
