I had an amazing experience at this store today. Earlier this week, I had purchased a piece of aquarium decor and managed to break it soon after leaving the store. I came back in today and a man named James allowed me to exchange mine for a new one. He was very patient and kind, and went above and beyond to help me. Would recommend!
Came to get fish twice today (1/14/2025) to fish for my daughter. The guy at the fish was rude telling the customer what they should get and everything. Saying you could get any you want but they won't last more than 48 hours. Not taking in consideration that over time people can upgrade their tanks to bigger ones. He shouldn't be telling customers basically what they can get. To me he was a real smart but. I went back hoping he was gone with my daughter and he wasn't so I walked out. I will not get fish from here when he is there.
DO NOT SHOP HERE 5/15/23-does not appear to stock shrimp anymore. they have not had shrimp since December (2022). when asked if they can order they say no. shopkeeps are unable to care for the aquatic life they sell. Picture 1 9/7/23 another disappointing trip to this store. saw more dead fish and of course they dont have shrimp. they say the supplyer has none. the dead fish looked like they had been sitting for awhile pictures 2-5. fish i bought almost immediately developed ich. cmon petsmart.... 11/5/24 They are unable to order fishtanks, and they have no clue what they have coming in on their inventory truck. They only reason i shop here is 50% off aquariums. Do not recommend This store also stocks betta fish in tiny cups. This store is cruel and these fish deserve better in life. Do better petsmart and stop selling bettas in tiny cups... i will no longer be shopping at this store
While PetSmart is great for getting basic necessities for your pets, when it comes to the treatment of their fish it's absolutely insane how neglectful they can be. It is not hard to properly clean and care for tanks, zero excuses. Dead fish are almost a given at this point when you look at most tanks, and the betta fish seem completely neglected 70% of the time, with most suffering from fin rot, swim bladder disease, or stress related symptoms, and a good chunk looking like they're about to meet the reaper or sitting in a cup of built up waste that obviously hasn't been cleaned regularly. (Which for context with tiny cups SHOULD be pretty much every other day at the absolute minimum) These cups aren't even the right temperature nor are proper housing for these fish, its just enough room for them to swim in a circle, which is just depressing. If you can't take the time to care for your aquatic life, get more employees who can help instead of making the animals suffer. EDIT: I will say though that the employee's are very nice everytime I come by, and I don't fully blame the workers, but that doesn't make up for the neglect.
Came here to buy harnesses for the boys and also bought them Christmas collars n pj's. Love their selections and their rewards program. Staff is very friendly
