Worst pharmacy I have ever been too. Complete lack of empathy or any emotion whatsoever. Bunch of rude ladies behind the counter with absolutely no passion for helping people. They make it an absolute chore to pick up my prescription and there always seems to be a problem on their end with organization. I’ve walked in multiple times to try and pick up my prescription only to have them say it’s not ready. When the CVS app clearly is notifying me to pick up my prescription.! Management needs to STEP IT UP.

The Kihei Longs Pharmacy is hot garbage. Three times I’ve went to this location with basic Rx scripts and they have been “out” of the product. Save your time and go to Safeway or Walgreens.

Sorry for the length. 🙏🏼 CVS corporation does not care anything about its customers and not much about most of its employees. CVS bought out a small family owned pharmacy in Wailuku several years ago and then turned around and closed it last month. By doing so, they essentially deserted a large population of senior citizens who live in the affordable senior apartments across the street and in the surrounding community who no longer drive, not to mention all the people who frequent the community health clinic which is also located across the street. Supposedly all the prescriptions were ” transferred” to the nearest store. (Which is a couple miles away, too far for seniors to walk when not all the streets have sidewalks). What they neglected to inform people of was that the pharmacy employees at Mahilani location would rather not fill some prescriptions. When I called the pharmacy I was told I would need to fill my prescriptions in Kihei as the Mahilani store did not stock my medication. They told my doctor the same thing and yet he had sent previous patients there with the same prescription and they filled it. So they also pick and choose whose prescriptions to fill. I happened to run into one of the pharmacists from the Wailuku longs who informed me that in spite of the fact she’s worked for the company for over 20 years, she is now having to go to stores all across the island just to get her 40 hours every week. To add insult to injury, when I went out to the Longs in Kihei to fill my prescriptions, they made me come at 8pm even though the prescription was submitted at about 2:30 pm. Plus, they could not be bothered to tell me that they were only able to fill one of the two until I went to pick them up. Because if that, I had to drive back out there the next morning when my doctor sent an alternate prescription. Mind you, 30 minutes each way. Five days later, they still have not received my original medicine and my doctor had to submit another temporary prescription. I called and they told me it was available and then when I drove out to Kihei, which takes about 30 minutes, I was informed that they would not let me pick up the prescription until the next day. It did not matter that I was willing to just pay cash. The pharmacist then proceeded to question me as to why I was as that store. Nothing like a little public humiliation to really make you want to give a store your business. When I responded that the other Longs had sent me out there, she proceeded to call the store. She then informed me that the other store DOES carry the medicine. So now it will be one week tomorrow since I submitted 2 prescriptions and they have still only filled one. CVS might want to let its pharmacists know that most patients (like most people) are honest and use their medicines in the way they have been prescribed. Treating everyone who comes in with a prescription for pain relief like a drug addict is not a good business model. It’s that kind of treatment and refusal to fill or carry certain prescriptions that drives people to look for drugs on the street.if you wanna know why we have such a problem with this stuff, I can tell you at least some of the blames falls on companies like CVS. Shame on you! You do not deserve to use the name “Longs”. People, this is not the Longs Drugs of bygone days, this is nothing but a big corporation that cares only about its profits and shareholders! If you have any other options, I highly recommend using them. I would not send people there.

CVS pharmacy in Kihei was already named Long’s pharmacy. The staff were helpful and friendly. The store has reasonable prices on some of their products.
