My 25lb long hair dog was $40. We live in the woods and his long hair was matted, stuck with sap, burrs, and dirt. They shaved him down so tastefully with a bushy tail and a bit longer around his head as well. Nails trimmed and every thing. He's never been softer! We will 100% be back.

This place is one of Redding's best kept secrets. Finding a dog groomer was a difficult task. After trying several, I stumbled upon Janelle, owner and groomer. Janelle is gentle, kind, thorough and VERY good! I have a Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) and an Italian Greyhound. My Sheltie always comes out beautiful, perfectly trimmed, brushed, manicured, the works. Not only that Janelle notices & pays attention to anything that may be unusual or need to have a vet check out. My dogs trust her. They have BIG, roomy kennels for the dogs to wait in. The other groomers are polite and helpful. My Italian Greyhound gets socialized & his anal glands dealt with too. Janelle had gone the extra mile when I've needed an unplanned grooming. She has terrific hours. My dogs always come out looking as if we are off to a show or a photo shoot. Finally her rates are incredibly reasonable! I will never go anywhere else, unless she retires.

Melanie was amazing. Professional and Polite. The love she has for animals was evident immediately as she interacted with our puppy. We have found our new groomer and suggest you take a chance with Melanie too.

Three months ago I left a 5 star review bragging about the Shaggy Dog pet salon and said I'd recommend it... well, I've tried to get a hold of them multiple times and have left a couple voice messages, and they haven't even the slightest decency to return my phone calls or messages! I don't know why they don't want to service my dog anymore cause she's well behaved and we've only been there once! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!! FIND ANYWHERE ELSE TO GO BEFORE GOING TO THE SHAGGY DOG!!! THEY HAVE SHADY SERVICE

Took my dog there for the first time, his hair was cut patchy along his legs and body(some places were down to the skin) and his ears were very uneven. I would not recommend this groomer for smaller dogs.
